In Korea, the best linked with the government in this case is Kim Seui o Gaseyeon or GaroSero (buddy of felon president Yoon and the ultra-right politicians). And there is a presidential election in less than one month.

Do you really think GaroSero (or the reporter Kim Seui) is a good source of information? Specially taking into account his connections with the former impeached president Yoon and the Korean far-right establishment, his past conflicts with the justice, and the past video-harassment to several Korean stars (Sulli, Twice, BTS, Goo Hara, BigBang...). He should be in jail, better than organizing press conferences, whatever the subject could be. No credit at all.

One start, the others follow, just to get a click or to let think they know thus they are important. It was the same when Lee Sun-Kyun was bullied to death. It's the base of the social media rumors. Lack of critical thinking (and by the way, very "neutral" you aren't, see your previous posts)

This is an interesting film about the judicial system in Japan, and concretely about the circumstances produced by reopening a crime case already sentenced. Well written, it combines human relations with some suspense around the crime.

That's what I supposed, but last scenes were a little bit "2001: a Space Odyssey", very sci-fi but also open to interpretation

I never said you are a hater. But there are haters of this drama since the 1st episode, as in other Netflix dramas. Once finished the entire drama, I agree with you that direction is a mess. But nevertheless I enjoyed, as well as you said two days ago.

But that's not the fault of the drama, just the haters (and there are lots of)

Wow, I just finished the show... and it is a real exhibition of acting. For me this is as good as s1, a continuation of the same story. Only bad note: leaving us some 9 months expecting for season 3.

I fully agree with this post. The most impressive element of this movie is, in my opinion, the atmosphere created by the filmmakers: recreation of the 1990s in a rural community, mostly under the rain, thus confering to the story the appearance of a neo-noir film. It is also remarkable the work of the actors, who deliver excellent performances. Nevertheless, the way in which the crime investigation is presented seems confusing. As well as Carli Sophie, I have also to watch again this movie, as I feel that I messed something (but I usually had the same impression with some other neo-noir films). In any case, I also recommend this film.

At last, some relevant voices from the Korean entertainment industry raised concrete measures to be taken by the police, media (and social media) and politicians in order to clear Lee Sun Kyun's name and reputation and to prevent similar cases in the future. Too late for the deceased, but a necessary action in any democratic society. Justice is required. I think in the wife and children of the late Lee Sun Kyun and hope they would be able to remember him as the great actor he was.

It is more unfortunate even that the only actor that openly dedicated his this-year drama (well deserved) award, Lee Je Hoon, was criticised for his speech in loving memory of his colleague by the same haters that are still attacking Lee Sun Kyun. No respect for the great actor past away, neither for the great actor winning the award. Korean haters will not realise the gravity of their comments and actions until the Korean authorities will prosecute them as hate criminals, as in other parts of the world.

This drama is totalluy underrated. It is true that the story could be better developped, but I started watching the show and I could not stop until the end. I cannot understand why other recent dramas are so well rated despite the disappointing expressed by many spectators, while this one has receive so low rating. For me it is a 8,5.
