The monk hasn't been given much screen time until recent episodes and I'm sure the writer is going to go more…
I'm sorry if I offended you, that truly wasn't my intention and I wasn't patronising you. Just wanted to share what opinion I had, but must have misinterpreted it. I'll take it out as it comes off as too strong, sorry

The Queen Dowager's transition to becoming a tyrant was very much hinted from the moment YJ replaced her flower garden for crops to be grown in the palace, probably even before. It's not much but again its always the little things that builds up to really push her to the edge. I'd say the Queen Dowager always wanted to just have PGW by her side, but he is completely loyal to his country and wouldn't hesitate to dirty his hands to prevent a tyrannical reign over the nation like what happened with the King before Lee Tae's Father became King. So of course she must feel neglected by PGW. She saw it as "Her vs The Country", so what does she decide to do. Become the thing he hates most so all of his attention can turn to her whilst she ends up having the most power in the palace (depending on if King Tae wakes up which YJ is planned to reveal). I won't go on and explain it all as it'll be a full on essay lol so I'll stop there. If that doesn't really help clear some things up about their development the past few episodes then no worries there's nothing wrong with that

Tbh its not rlly optimism, just my opinion. They just showed a preview for ep 12 which revolved around the monk and the next move the characters will decide to take after what happened in ep 11 so im just assuming that that's what the writer will focus on next

So, a monk who is supposed to be the reincarnation of Buddha Maitreya is praying / cursing / scheming against…
The monk hasn't been given much screen time until recent episodes and I'm sure the writer is going to go more in depth with his character and the incident next episode and next week after seeing that preview that showed the monk in most of those quick scenes, it's pretty obvious there is more to be discovered about him and PGW is going to do exactly that

ngl, based on the dynamics between the main four I feel like Lee Tae should be the person to oust out Queen Dowager. He isn't as witty as Yoo Jung to take down Park Gye Won and now that the Queen Dowager is pretty going ballistic and doing her own thing because of that monk, it might be a good idea for Lee Tae to scare her back into her place, because like she mentioned before she is scared of him.

Park Gye Won might still have a soft spot for her but his ambition for a powerful Queen (Yoo Jung) is probably gonna outweigh his affection for her, but at the end of the day I'm not sure because he's unpredictable which I love about his character.

Yoo Jung taking on the Queen Dowager also sounds pretty good too, Lady Yoon might even assist her too, I'd be satisfied with that, but the writer has already proven how amazing she is and she already has a lot on her plate to deal with as she will be in charge of the internal court and whatever stupid advance Lady Cho might make on her. I just hope the writer didn't make our King completely useless. The part where he and PGW saves Yoo Jung and does labour with the farmers was a good stepping stone for his development, though we have 6 episodes I still have little hope left for more depth with the King's character, if not that's a shame as I'm already completely happy as YJ and PGW fills that void

I'm thinking of watching this, can someone tell me if it's good ? like not too political or boring
It's political, however pretty easy to follow compared to other saeguks. There isn't a lot of scenes where you'll be watching the King speak to the officials in his court for most of the episode so I'd say definitely give it a chance, at least 4 episodes. It's not boring at all in my opinion and you might really enjoy the dynamic between all the characters, not just our main couple

Yoo jung will be great as a Queen. Tbh She is more wise than the King.
Yup, she even gave Lee Tae her own wise words before she went into the palace. How the people don't serve the King, but instead they serve rice/food. I fricken love Yoo Jung. Even the most powerful man PGW ended up shaking because of her. Best powerful female character i've seen in a while. Kang Hanna is slaying as her.

Poor lady cho :( im kinda rooting for her
To be Queen or stay in the palace, hell no. But for her to move on, grow a spine for once, stop throwing tantrums and find her own happiness I'll gladly root for her too. Ngl imagine she ends up falling in love with PGW's son. Wouldn't mind rooting for her on that too
