Hilarious movie with YinWar; its not supposed to be serious
Okay, lets get a lot of peoples question out of the way first. Is this a BL considering it has Yin and War in it?? The answer is no, its not a BL at all. It does star both actors together but there is no romance between them. Now that that's out of the way we can talk about this underrated comedy. This movie is one of the funniest I have seen in a while, especially when you go into it knowing what type of comedy it is. Everyones comedic timing was on point, and to be honest I think some of the scenes were adlibbed because if you look closely at some of the actors in the background of some scenes, you can catch them holding back a laugh. Honestly I love that!
This movie was not supposed to be taken seriously! Its a slapstick comedy and if you like movies like the comedy "Scary Movie" then this is along that line. The CGI isn't great in some places but I personally was able to overlook that because the storyline felt pretty unique.
The story follows a group of boys (led by War) who are looking to catch a ghost on camera to skyrocket their youtube careers. however, while looking for their big money making shot, Achi (War) accidently brings forth a spirit that needs to find her murderer 1000 years ago. Forcing the boys to help by putting a 3 day curse on Achi life, they traveling around Thailand to find the answers and save his life.
I personally thought everyone's acting was great considering what they were supposed to be acting like and we do get some emotional moments from War, which he always does so well.
***TRIGGER WARNING: for my fellow emetophobes out there!!! There is a scene where Yin will vomit and it is visible clearly!! Its coming when Yin is talking to his mom after he starts to loose his mind (you'll know what that means). They will also show it again around the 1 hour 7 minute mark.***
Overall, I think this movie was exactly what it was supposed to be. A ridiculous comedy. If you love Yin and War for their funny personalities then you will love this too.

I’m convinced people didn’t actually watch
I’m convinced people are just review bombing or they didn’t actually watch the show. To say the characters were one dimensional proves that. The amount of depth they had was actually impressive. This series was about family, friends, and the real lives some people face in Thailand. There was a comedy aspect but the show was mostly a drama. I’m not one of the people that found the cardboard cut out funny. I found it quite sad, and see what they were trying to portray.Throughout the wedding Jack believes or truely wants to believe Joke is alive. He even yells out “why do people keep thinking you’re dead”. I think he believes until that moment that Joke will return in time for the wedding and when he doesn’t, the stand in was the idea of his friends. I mean he punched them when they told him otherwise! Until Jack is sitting at that table after the wedding and he breaks down and realizes Joke is not coming.
Have the people that found his grief funny never been through it? Jack classically went through the stages of grief and the wedding was him working through that. Grief can do some wild things to your mind. His friends and family adore Jack and they are going to stand by his side and do what they have to do. Like making a fake Joke or Grandma talking to Joke at the dinner table. That’s what this entire series was about! They also mention that Jacks family comes from Chinese descent so it could have also been a ghost wedding which makes sense for the stand in as well.
As a YinWar fan, yeah we kind of expect the sad storylines because this is what Yin and War are sooo good portraying. The acting in the show was so well done, the characters are fun and they left an open ending for the chance at a season 2. Remember they funded this entire show themselves, so if it did well there would be chance at coming back.
I think some people went into this show expecting something that it wasn’t. It was never going to be a cushy romance story. It was something completely new, well thought out, mature, and exciting for YinWar and their fandom.
Overall, is the special heartbreaking? Absolutely and I recommend stopping after they meet back up in the room (you’ll know) if you don’t want the heartache. However, even all the way through the end credits, I think this was really good, taking place a year after the events of the show. It’s fun, funny, has a twist but in classic YinWar style they will get you to cry. I personally really enjoyed it!

I dont understand any of the bad reviews because this show was amazing
This show is honestly so well done. Especially considering everything was done and put together by Yin and War themselves. If you are a person who is just looking for a romance story and nothing else then its better to stick to another bl genre. This is more of an action show with some romance in it. Think along more similar lines to Kinnporsche in terms of actions scenes.Violence and fight scenes should not be a determining factor on if someone tells people if the show is good or not because it is subjective. I personally thought the fight scenes were so much fun. As well as all of the heists.
Please give it a chance past the first 2 episodes as, like many shows, these are used to introduce the characters and get the plot moving.
War is an EXCEPTIONAL actor. Thats coming from someone who is also a tv actor for many years. His ability to pull off so many different "characters" in one show is amazing, as well has his ability to actually react to what is happening around him and feel it vs just reacting for his next line.
This show is soo much fun to watch and the characters are loveable. There is character development between all of them. Joker is a character that many can relate to as someone who thinks they are doing the right thing but it always seems to be a burden. Jack is someone people can relate to as a good hearted person who just wants the best for everyone at the expense of themselves.
Some reviews are saying that the script is bad but I think honestly it is so good. It has action, emotion, twists and turns, and they throw in a little comedy making the characters even more loveable.
I honestly am praying for a season 2 as it was left on a little bit of a cliff hanger.
For people wondering; the special episode is very hard to watch if you end up loving the characters. So guard your heart, fair warning. However, if you do watch it, make sure to watch ALL THE WAY TO THE END, after the credits.
