I do agree with you like 99% but I really liked this drama because of the villains LOL It was one of the few dramas where the "good" characters were at fault for the disasters in a Kdrama. However, they did make the mother look really badder than usual like you said. It was utterly disgusting to see the mother-in-law being so supportive of the affair just because a son was going to be born. There are societies in this world that value men more than women. Because of these societies, women like Ma Jun's mother are produced. Lastly, I mean in one way I was glad that the "evil" characters got punished but it left me feeling sad for Ma Jun's mother and the secretary. To be honest, I really liked this drama a lot but it had its bad points too like you said. What I really did NOT like about this drama Tak Goo's romance. I felt like that could have been improved. I totally shipped Ma Jun x Yu Kyung though before even watching the drama. I just didn't ship tak goo x yu kyung and I felt the other combination was a bit more realistic But it is a little naive drama though but nevertheless good

Honestly, great article! ^^ I completely agree with the content. One of my favorite scenes from that drama was the one with Dam Sari and in it, he said something about hitting a rock with eggs. He said a rock is not alive but an egg is. One day that egg will hatch bringing life. That scene was really memorable too.
I actually had no idea about the Filipino government and the Japanese colonization of it. That was something new.
Oh yeah, my favorite character from the drama is Shunji and I can relate to him so much. However, Kang To is equally amazing for changing his views. I have been watching Full House 2 and am astounded by the character differences between Won Kang Hee and Shunji. It's just amazing how different the two roles are. But over all, awesome drama and article!
