I'm glad you have such a positive experience with your faith! Personally, mine was even worse than depicted here and I needed to leave altogether. But, I think it's safe to say that not all Christian churches represent Christianity - or Christ for that matter. I think you can safely watch this and understand that this is just one church's perspective, and perhaps it will even make you have more appreciation for your own church! That being said, the Roman Catholic church, according to their own catechism, does not allow for same-sex relationships and calls on all gay Catholics to live a life of celibacy. If not, you are living in a mortal sin (a "mortal" sin in Catholic theology means it is spiritually fatal (meaning you won't go to heaven)) and therefore cannot take part in Holy Communion. So this discrimination does exist within religious communities, and probably in the majority. So, appreciate what you have by watching this and empathizing for those who are struggling in their faith traditions.

If you haven't seen "Not Me" yet, you must! That's the best OffGun series by far. I liked Cooking Crush because Off played a very different character (shy and nerdy) than his usual cold and blunt (which he's back to acting this way in this series). I won't ever tell someone not to watch a series, but I want them to know what they are getting into before they start watching. We are in a wonderful time where we have so many BL shows to choose from! I don't want to waste my time on one if it's not really a BL. Otherwise, it's like going to the movies to watch a romance and getting a horror movie instead. But still people here on MDL will comment, "well, in the horror movie, the murder victims were a couple! So it's practically a romance!" 🤣

It depends how you define "romance", but all we got at the end of 9 episodes between OffGun is a hug. That might be fine and is common to see in other BLs, but there is usually a romantic story to support it. The show has given all the story to another couple (not BL). Let me put it this way - if all you read was the description of the show on this website, you know as much about the story of OffGun's characters as I do after watching 9 episodes.

Again, this is supposed to be a BL. How can it be a BL if one of the people in the main couple doesn't get enough screen time? That's like saying after watching three-quarters of the episodes of Wandee Goodday that Yoryak didn't get enough screen time. Then how would the show be about them? If the Trainee is Ryan (which I don't dispute), what is his story? 1) Becomes a trainee, 2) makes a lot of mistakes, gets yelled at, 3) makes up with Jane who isn't so bad after all, 4) Go back to step 2 and repeat.

NINE episodes into this 12 episode series, and there is no OffGun relationship to speak of! And, "I don't hug people I don't like" is nothing - it's not even a real confession. I mean, in other series the side couples get more screen time than the supposed "main" couple in this series! Half and Mudmee from "My Love Mix-Up!" had twice the screen time by episode 9 than Off and Gun did in their own series! I feel like GMMTV did a bait-and-switch; advertise it as a BL, but it's actually about a straight couple and a possible GL. They did Off and Gun dirty with this series, and the fans too by making us expect one thing, and giving us another. You can disagree with me - that's your choice - but please explain where I'm wrong. I'm not saying you can't enjoy the show. My point is simply that it's false advertising. If they marketed this show like the currently-airing "Summer Night" which has a BL side couple, then I wouldn't be upset because I know what I'm watching. But to market something as a BL when there is nothing really to show for it after 75% of the episodes have already aired, is just deceptive. Ask yourself honestly, if you didn't know anything about this series before you started watching it, and then after 9 episodes you were asked who is the main couple in this series, how would you answer? Because I would say Tae and Bamee. And before someone chimes in with, "It's an ensemble cast!", save your keystrokes. Ensemble casts are shows like "Knock Knock, Boys!" and "We Are", but in BOTH of those series we easily know who the main couple is. Heck, "We Are" was juggling 10 characters at a time, but everyone knew that Phum and Peem were the mains. Plus, there is no question that either of those series are actual BLs, where this one needs to change the tags above to "BL Side Couple".
