A lot of PayuRain anti’s in the comments and I just wanna say great, more room for me in the Boss thirst bus.
? I feel like there's more PaiSky antis. I guess it's an even split lmao 😅 I loved both couples and sometimes wonder if I'm the only one judging by these comments...

The fact that Peat can't cry waterfall actually lowers the impact of the scenes for me.
Pretty sure that was intentional, in the novel Sky can't shed tears when he cries due to his trauma (until the end). I agree that tears would've been more impactful but that has to do with the writing, not Peat's acting. (In the series he does shed tears while writing the love letter, so it's not like he couldn't.)

Finally a Korean BL that delivers. No need for a weird/nearly impossible/overly-exaggerated plot, no need for…
THIS, ALL OF THIS. Thank you for pointing out that there weren't any crazy/annoying tropes. That's one of the biggest reasons why I think this was such a good BL. The plot was simple, but it was executed so well that it didn't feel like it was lacking anything.

How does webtoon end?
The webtoon hasn't ended yet (there's a lot more to go, season 2 just finished and season 3 starts in a few months). But the novel ending is happy! Basically JY decides to stay in Korea, and JY and SW officially start dating

Ok so this is interesting lol, I was wondering where/how they were gonna end the drama and now that we’ve seen the ep 8 preview, I realized they're completely just skipping all of the stuff in between and going straight to the end of the novel basically lol. I mean it works, it lacks the depth of the full story and skips a lot of JangChu’s relationship development but it still works. I don’t mind since they’re skipping the most frustrating part of the novel 😆

The director said they didn’t produce the live action with a season 2 in mind. They wrapped up the story with a proper ending because they didn’t anticipate this explosive response from the fans/viewers, so they weren’t thinking about doing a continuation at all. I see what she means now - with how things are playing out in the drama, there isn’t much left to cover in a season 2 if they go off of the webtoon/novel. They deviated from the webtoon and made the major cut to the end in order to fit everything in 8 eps.

So that’s why she said there are scenes in the original storyline that they didn’t get to do and she would like to go back and do those for season 2 haha. That does make things a little confusing (because we would be going back in time) but ofc I'll still watch it, and I wonder if they might try and twist the parts they skipped over to make sense within the season 2 sequence. Regardless, I’m curious to see how it goes if season 2 actually happens in 2 years!

Whoever is leaking and/or spreading the episodes before they air... you're sad and pathetic. Please have some damn respect. And if you're one of those people, you better stream it legally when the episodes come out. It's the least you can do.

At least we’ll get to see him live before he enlists 😭
Not now, but there's a strong possibility of season 2 after Seoham returns!

Anyone else a little scared that the kiss might not be as amazing as we hope it would be? The thing is its been…
Lol yeah a part of me feels like they shouldn't have hinted at it so much since the viewers have even higher expectations now - I'm keeping my expectations low just in case but I do believe they will deliver a solid kiss scene. Also I'm somewhat certain that there are going to be multiple kiss scenes (not just one) in eps 7-8 based on what SH and JC have said, which is also a level up.

But tbh the drama is so good that it doesn't need the spicy intimacy to still be amazing, it's just the cherry on top

but... and novel???? but... make sense...
Although there is a novel, it’s pretty clear that the drama is a live action based on the webtoon (I think the team/cast have mentioned this a few times as well). I feel like a big reason why the drama is so good is because it’s based on the manhwa and not the novel.

Also I’m sure they don't want the drama to be ahead of the official webtoon, that’d be really weird and would probably cause so many discrepancies. The drama is meant to bring the webtoon to life

If you're sad about having to wait until after Seoham's enlistment for a possible second season, think of it this way and maybe you'll feel better:

I have strong hope for a season 2 once Seoham returns, not only because Seoham and Jaechan already said they would like to do it, but also because I think that (timing-wise) it actually works out really well with the break. Season 2 of the webtoon only just finished last week, the webtoon is currently on hiatus following the S2 finale, S3 starts in 4 months, and S3 will probably run for about a year. Which means that by the time Seoham comes back in around 1.5 years, the webtoon will still be pretty fresh from S3, and they can incorporate S3 into the second season of the drama.

So let’s just keep in mind that this is a live-action based on a webtoon/manhwa that is still ongoing. There isn't enough content from the webtoon to do a second season anytime soon, regardless of whether the team wants to (and regardless of Seoham's enlistment). They have to wait until the manhwa is finished so they can cover the rest of the story in season 2 of the drama. Basically, from a practical standpoint, his enlistment doesn't really affect the making of season 2 that much.
