longer series
It really was a great series. Of course, I wish it had been a bit longer, and I would’ve loved more screen time for Jun and Shawn
One of the standout aspects for me was Wu Zheng’s character. Instead of the typical “playboy equals red flag” trope, he was refreshingly different—open, gentle, and unafraid to express his feelings. It made his relationships feel more genuine and emotionally satisfying to watch.
The only part that got a bit frustrating was the commentary from the two teenagers about the relationship. It felt unnecessary, especially since they were essentially behaving in similar ways themselves. That irony wasn’t really addressed, which made their criticism come off as a bit hypocritical.
Overall, though, it was a really enjoyable watch with strong character dynamics and a refreshing take on romance.
