Yes. SM is portrayed in a very feminine sort of way, that if don't know the gender of the character, you'll end up thinking it's a girl. It isn't just about the name. That's how I felt at least.

Yes exactly. I don't really understand why some people get worked up over this. The thing is MR does think he has feelings for SM and he does flirt with SM. Some of it has to be there. They have to portray everything between MR and CWN through hints, glances, etc, whether they take a subtle route like TU or less subtle like WOH. Imagine having to portray both the relationship dynamics through hints. That would be one hell of a task. SM being a girl makes everything easier. The script and actors of both TU and WOH as well as Guardian were able to portray the relationship between the leads. And the script writer of HYX also promised there isn't anything that shouldn't be there.

I agree. I actually ended up imagining SM as a girl a lot of times while reading the novel and had to remind myself every now and then he is a guy. Anyway, the point is it really doesn't matter if SM is a boy or girl as long as they keep the essence of the story and characters.

I loved his dynamic as the big bro with others and we didn't even get to see much of his romance with Fairy Rui. I was looking forward to them.

In epi 23 why did Mo Yi say to Xiao Se that he has yin energy in his body and that a girl did this to him? Does he mean Xiao Se's injury was caused by a girl? I thought it was one of the sword deities who did it. Or did he mean the divine healer girl gave him yin energy while treating him.
