I think what he meant was that after CX brought them to the palace, he must have put two and two together. Before this I don't think he thought too hard about her identity.
Epi 26 and guys I am honestly starting to find CX a bit creepy. Let me explain. I do appreciate him as a character, he is super complex and interesting and Zhang Wanyi is excellent as CX but he is just becoming a bit too manipulative. Yes he does love XY but before XY's transformation, I feel he just loved her as family. He loved her before too, but wasn't in love with her. It is only after she got her real face back, his feelings for her turned romantic.
Ofc, there's nothing wrong with falling for someone for their beauty and I don't think he fell for her only because she's beautiful, but it was only at that point that he became aware of her as a woman. But XL and Jing both fell for her without seeing her real face. And ever since his feelings turned romantic, he has gone from protective to possessive. I kinda feel he is trying to manipulate her feelings as well.
Ofc, XL and Jing get jealous too but somehow they aren't trying make her like the other guy less. If anything they just get insecure. Meanwhile CX acts supportive but deep down he is consciously trying to make her like Jing less. I mean it's no longer him being a just her 'corcerned gege'.
I think one of the reason why he would actually try to get her married to CFL, aside from his own ambitions, is the fact that out of all the guys, XY likes him less. If XY had any real feelings for CFL, I do not think he would actively try to be a matchmaker. I think CFL makes him feel safer in the sense that she doesn't have feelings for him so he wouldn't have to share her affections with him and he could continue to be one she loves the most. But with Jing or even XL/FBB, he would cease to be the most important person in her life. He is willing to marry other women to fulfill his ambitions. It is justified based on his situation but I also think he devalues the bond of marriage. It is quite twisted.

It's not about reading articles and scandals of actors. If you follow c-ent and it's actors long enough, I am sure you'll have a few favorites and you'll be surprised to find how nasty it can really get. It's horrible what actors can get subjected too and as a fan it's sad and exhausting.

That happens a lot in c-ent and c-fandoms unfortunately. If you know how c-ent works, everyone popular actor is subjected to such things and a lot of them might not even be fans of this drama but paid antis or just antis who wants to bring the drama and it's actors down coz it's so popular right now. I've seen it happen with my other fave actors and fave dramas as well. I don't visit twt nowadays so I am not aware of the most recent happenings but I did hear this when the drama started that antis tried to create problems for him.

I just love how he styles himself irl, I think it'll be great to see him like that in a modern drama.
