Yeah a village set up would have been nicer I guess, we could have skipped all of that. Foreign actors are usually never good actors whether it's C or K dramas. It's probably a bit hard for them to find professional ones.
So far this is really nice. I don’t really watch medical dramas anymore so I am only watching this for LYX. But after 3 epis, I can only say that I want more.
Personally, I am not too fond of this ‘doctors working abroad’ trope. It’s just a little overdone and I would have preferred if they met in some village area of their own vast country or something. But it’s in the novel, so I guess it can’t be helped and they'll be returning home soon.
The first epi may take you by surprise in some ways and some events may make you gasp but there is a good enough explanation for everything and as you keep watching there is something about this drama that just pulls you in. When Dr. Gu and SWA are talking you want to keep hearing more of their conversation. Our second leads are also very nice and I am eager to see how their story develops.
LYX is LYX. Each time he plays a character he becomes the character and you can never find any trace of the real LYX or any other character he has played before.
ZRN is just so lovely. It’s my first time watching her and she is a natural actress. She enacts her character’s quirkiness in the right way and never goes overboard, so you can sense that there is more to her character than what we’re seeing now.
The two of them surprisingly have a very effortless chemistry. I actually didn’t know what to expect from this pair, but now I am sure we’re in for a treat.
What's the airing schedule for this? 12 epis aired already. I am totally falling behind juggling between two dramas and a donghua. How am I gonna catch up?
