The more I think of it, the more annoyed I am with Taewan.
I knew someone who's exactly like him. The person was emotionally draining, everyone around them had to be ultra careful. If someone complained about anything, they would say 'I'm not causing any harm'. And if you replied 'You're ruining my mental health', they said 'Then you should go to therapy'.
For this kind of person, the problem is always the other person. It's never them. They shouldn't change, only you should change.
Ofc I'm just saying this based on 9 eps, but Taewan has always been about himself since the beginning. Hyeyeon did wrong, but he never let her talk either. All the conversations were about him. In the last ep, it was clear. He was almost saying 'You ruined my life, it's all your fault' or 'Look how GREAT I am and I'm still choosing to be with YOU! Why aren't you on your knees saying how grateful you are?' He never even listened to Hyeyeon, I don't blame her for just leaving, he would only talk about himself for hours anyway

They don't match because they are essentially the same person. They want to receive and never give. Both want to be taken care of, but they don't actually think about what the other wants as well.

I don't like Hyeyeon either, but I can't believe how most comments are defending Taewan.

Even though Hyeyeon did all that she did, we don't know what happened before the show. When she said, 'I want you to take care of me', I don't think she was saying that she wants him to react to her dating around (because he DID react everytime). I think she wanted him to care for her naturally.
My mom always said 'You shouldn't demand people to care for you, if they really care, they'll do it on their own'. So the fact that he said 'You didn't tell me that you wanted me to take care of you' really pissed me off.
