I watch pretty much anything with time travel involved but this show turned out to be soooo good. It's been a while since I am actually invested in Kdrama chemistry. Lee Seyoung is so lovable! The only bad thing about this show till now is the fact it airs on Friday Saturday and the week won't end 😭
I'm a huge OG fan and yet I would recommend everyone to give this a shot. This is an adaption for a reason, faithful or not, new versions will always involve some changes here and there. Watching another show 3 years after the orignal was a good walk down the memory lane with a weird sense of melancholy and deja vu lingering around.
The orignal would always be at par for me but to say this one was bad would be a blatant lie. To be very honest, I still have my complains with the ost (which imo didn't hit hard. Wu Bai's last dance and Miss You 3000 by 831 remain unbeatable) and overall being comparitively disconnected with the characters emotions but then came ep11-12 and Jeon Yeobeen hard carried this. I found myself involuntarily shredding tears, she did so well towards the end and this is comming from someone who couldn't really differentiate/empathise through her presentation of the two characters untill ep10. Stick around if you can. It's worthy.
The male caste however, was a bit lacking from my perspective but that could just me. The actors did their best, I'm sure, but there's a special place in my heart for Li Zi Wei and Greg that Si Heon/Hyoseop failed to squeeze in.
There was the usual Kdrama magic in ATCY and I think everyone, especially the fans should give a try to relive the characters, the story we loved, through a different lense...through someone else's interpretation.
I know throughout the movie it was constantly stated that it is "based on someday or one day" but it almost perfectly forms a continuation of the drama keeping the bonus clip in mind. Definitely feel like the first time watchers will perhaps not feel the emotional connect with the characters as the drama viewers, none the less had my heart swollen with happiness seeing all the characters back at it after three years 😭
As much as I really really loved this show at all points, I'm conflicted about the news of S2. There are many things that need to be sorted and the fact that we have only 2 episodes left AND a second season, means that they'll leave the ends untied. The next season is supposed to air in 2024 and i honestly don't know if I'll remember the show by then if it makes sense 😅 I love the characters so much but I really don't think it needs another season.
I'm camping in the comment section because I never thought I'd ever be so emotionally invested in a Thai drama (I'm a Kdrama enthusiast mainly) that too a BL and give it a pass for the best romcom I have ever watched.
I finished this ten minutes ago.....the whole show in two days. I'm feeling empty now. Should've slept instead 🙁🙁 One of best rom-coms ever made for me.
I love how it's a short but on point drama. Binged 1-5 episodes and I must say the bullies have my blood boiling. Nice performances from both the leads. Can't wait for the remaining episodes.
I generally get emotional easily lol so I cried like three times throughout EP 13.
1) K and YH's sequence: I really had no attachment with K's character but Ji Sung did the part so well, I just went with the flow.
2) YH and Elijah's hugging sequence. I really feel sad after looking at their little family and how damaged they both are.
3) Whatever Kim Ga On was going through. He had just one single person in the world whom he could call his family and he saw her dying in front of his eyes. I just couldn't control myself. Jinyoung has grown so much as an actor. I'm so happy and proud of him. He just makes me want to shed tears.
Why is this hate for Soo Hyun coming? Just because she refused to side with the protagonist doesn't mean she was useless? She was the only one who kept Ga On sane all these years! Besides, Yo Han didn't give her a single reason to trust him or anything. He's famous for his diabolical tactics to achieve whatever he likes.... that's what the professor had fed to both SH and GO. Audience is the one who knows that YH is actually doing this for a greater cause, not her. So, I believe the way she reacted was completely....idk normal? Cuz I'm sure I would've probably done worse to save someone I care about. Anyway, I do love YH's character but Soo Hyun doesn't deserve this hate.
Who said that? Let me punch their face please.I kinda hate people who criticise idol actors in general when most…
Idk who said that but it was someone a few comments below. They really wrote a heck long paragraph. I wonder at this point if they are even watching the show or not.
Wait, so on scrolling down I found out people are "unhappy that Jisung got casted alongside Jinyoung because the layer's acting isn't convincing......?" I'll have to laugh at that. There's not a single person in this show (not even a side character) who can't act. No one could tell Jinyoung is an idol. He has sold every emotion he has tried to convey.
