The story went rouge after the prologue. A lot of unresolved storylines, some ended unfulfilling. I don't know how faithful the live action is to the novel but after President Moriya got written out, the show became something different.
Great ending, but how the story developed up to that point was so weird. Still a good watch though, even the latter episodes had the right amount of emotional heft to them.
The movie is going be a continuation of the drama as per the trailer, but will seemingly not adapt Part 2 of the manga. Instead, it will take aspects of Part 3 and create a different story moving forward
Great movie, great visuals, and very funny performance acting.
It's very unfortunate that the current subs is machine translated. Thankfully, my limited Japanese was enough to correct some of the mistranslations on the fly when watching. (You'll need to understand Japanese in the manga scenes as the text there is very important.) I love seeing the office's newly-found camaraderie at the end of the movie, and how the time loop ended not only because they completed the chief's manga together but also because Yoshikawa found a new purpose. One she kept pushing aside until the very end.
If you can, wait for different subtitles to arrive.
