I really liked Xu Hai Qiao in Lost Love in Times too. However, I'm not so sure that he's not a villain here. The masked man looks like Xu Hai Qiao.

Just read the second half of your comment, are you me? Those were two ways I think they could have made the ending better too. Better to attribute the parallel travel mechanism to a vague futuristic science that we don't have yet than weird blood magic. I thought it would make sense if another parallel world Qiu Yue wanted to take a peek at her daughter who she never gets to have a relationship with and something that Qiu Yue leaves behind happens to still have a few parallel travel trips left on it.

I'm with you! That's something I thought as well, that I really wish they had shown cPZ leaving the solution to help them. It would have shown that his love was genuine. Like Ji Jiang gracefully backed out and still extended his help when he could. Little details like that in their characterization of PZ really kept this drama from reaching its potential, imo

About the receipt, the drama didn't show us. I'm guessing it's implied that when Cheese Pei Zhi blacked out for a moment, Strawberry Pei Zhi grabbed it and put it in his pocket.

I'm really curious how they are going to explain the letter and how Cheese PZ dropped off the photo in the first place. I do think the letter is from some world's Qiu Yue to LZX. Right now it's confusing how Cheese PZ dropped off the photo in the first place and triggered her travel. I'm hoping the drama can somehow give us a satisfying end.

I've watched all of those and there are some similarities. I think Shining for One Thing has more romance than The Heart of Genius. In addition to also starring Zhang Xin Cheng, My Huckleberry Friends similarly has leads who are both smart and there are studying scenes and interactions with classmates, but otherwise I don't think it is that similar. It seems pretty likely that some ideas from Someday or One Day probably inspired some aspects of this drama. I like both dramas very much. What I especially like about The Heart of Genius and makes it unique is how it is more about family relationships and the challenges of caring for an aging parent.

There's a little bit of other stuff but not too much filler so far. The other big plot point they're going to go into is about her father's past

In ep 28, we finally learned what derailed Lin Zhao Sheng's career. He and a professor in another city submitted very similar work. My crazy theory now is ....I wonder if anyone else parallel world traveled before and that's how his research was copied by someone else

I think the plagiarism accusation happened in both worlds because something stopped Lao Lin from continuing in academia in Cheese world even though he wasn't a single dad. I think there was also a short conversation hinting at his academic impropriety in Cheese world, might have been something said by Zhang Shu Ping

In ep 21, there was a quick explanation from Cheese LZX in that tape. She said that Cheese Hua Juan is silly and thinks it was just a dream

I was getting some Top Gun vibes in Yang Yang's military drama Glory of the Special Forces. His character starts out really talented but cocky and doesn't do teamwork well.

I checked douban and she's not listed but there are only 8 of the cast members listed so far. Also did a quick search and didn't find an article including her in the cast. Maybe that information leaked somewhere else but didn't come up for me.
