I agree that the new character, FL's friend, is the young master of the Silver Rain Terrace organization but I do not feel like he approached her with nefarious purposes. I feel like he really likes her. She saved his life and she said he was one of her only two friends in that city. He really does want to uncover whether Pan killed her.

It can still be recognized as an adaptation, unlike some other ones, even though they changed some details. I like some things they added but also dislike some changes. I recommend watching anyway, it is mostly cute.

I wish the drama had not changed #7, ML chose her illustration not knowing who created it. When I read the novel, I loved how he really appreciates her for who she is, her personality and her work and we could see it through their gaming relationship and him choosing her illustration out of hundreds.
* Novel ML is biased against FL because of his overbearing mother arranging them together. I think the drama did not make it very clear why he's so biased against her due to that single game they played. * Novel ML did not see so much of FL's real personality so it made it more believable he did not recognize them to be the same * Novel ML did not like mobile games and there was a snobby preference for AAA games over mobile games which is why FL said she didn't play their shared mobile game. He started the game only to play with his friend and then kept playing for her. * Novel FL took a photo of the firework watching crowd, including ML in it and posted it to her social media to secretly wish him a happy new year. He later discovers this and sees that she deleted the post.

I'm sad they changed the New Years portion too, including the part where she posted a New Years wish with a photo of the crowd with him in it. It was bittersweet to him when he discovered it later and learned that she had deleted it.
