On Sisyphus: The Myth Feb 25, 2021
This series is like the makjang of the sci-fi genre loool. It's such an entertaining mess. The plot is interesting, but I feel like the story could definitely be told in a better way. The script and the directing are also very mediocre, and even pretty bad at times. I'm very confused as to why these actors chose to participate in this project and why JTBC chose this script as their tenth anniversary special. I want to believe that it gets better, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself after watching the first four episodes.

That being said, I feel like the show should have started with some version of episode 4 as the pilot because the beginning scenes with Seo Hae in the future were really interesting and I wish we got to see more of that instead of seeing it in small glimpses. It literally feels like this show is being told out of order and it's really annoying because the concept is super interesting but it feels like the writers and the director don't have much storytelling ability. Right now, I feel like the best part of the show is Cho Seung Woo because he's super talented and fun to watch.

I think episode 4 was the best so far, but of course, turning your brain off is a requirement.
