yep, it's him. he backstabbed he jiong and left the show, despite he jiong and wtm basically being his support + ticket to fame. he also recently backstabbed WC and WDX in the performance you commented above (ofc, his fans are gonna defend him, but if you want to know more about that i can def share. he's also known for 炒ing 8 CPS at once and also backstabbing qiao xin). i'm pretty sure bjt left for the show the oasis. the other show with the similar premise is tencent's 开始推理吧. they tried taking some of the detective's assistants too (some went, but they wouldn't have been able to show up because they didn't win any episodes during detective college, can also go into detail about that if you want). season seven was super hard; they barely had enough people to run the show, and all the guests only showed up genuinely because they loved it. qi wei came even when she was pregnant; yang rong came even when she had injured herself filming a drama and could barely walk; he jiong, da zhangwei, and wang ou still came despite the circumstances and their schedules; zhang ruoyun would catch late trains and flights right after he finished filming to come to WTM and managed full season attendance; qiao zhenyu, who hadn't showed up for a long time, came to help; wei chen, despite having some other issues and planning for his wedding, still came; pu yixing, the detective's assistant, was invited by the other show but refused to come (as a newcomer, having any opportunity is priceless. so his choice really shines through), as proven when an NPC on the other show showed up with his exact birthday, down to the year. and sasa, despite not being able to come to the show due to his contract with 央视, still texted yang rong about the filming of the show, even saying "i put in a vote for you from off site." ope, this has gotten long. i am a huge fan of WTM, and season seven really touched me because of the pure love these cast members showed for it. so i definitely trust that wang ou will try her best to come and i think this season will be as good as the rest :)
late reply but i trust that she will come through and attend at least a few eps. she stuck through during the hardest season (season 7) when many writers and (cough cough) some original cast members (无情无义的人, not talking about sasa) left for another show and more that follows basically the exact same theme as WTM (if u know u know).
the directors crew for this show and the people who run it are disgusting. they invited two of the most popular groups in china, 0713 and no.1, together for a variety show and they decide the best way to get publicity is to ignite fires and start fights between the two fanbases. i love both groups- i was super excited when i found out they were recording a show together, but the production crew have ruined it for me. their bias against the purple team is so obvious in this new episode, even the orange team fans have realized it. TWO hunters chasing huangzi- one specialized hunter jsut for him and a regular hunter. huangzi gets caught RIGHT BETWEEN two orange team members (su xing and zzy, i believe) and they don’t get caught?? and then three out of the four hunters KEEP circling around the one place where a purple team member is hiding. and XYL should not have been caught at the end. hunters don’t even look behind doors while hunting, but you’re telling me they’ll bend down to spot someone hiding underneath a table well below their line of sight? absolutely infuriating. they literally want the fans to fight online. the dynamic now is purple team has to deal with the unjust bias, and the orange team has to take the blame for what this disgusting production crew is doing, and the production crew is just quietly getting away with it. i am VERY disappointed. the first, second and third episode were all very good and super exciting, but the bias and script of the production crew started showing with this one. honestly, such a good opportunity gone to waste. beyond disappointed and will not continue watching.
Just finished today, binged the last half of the drama. Loved everything, especially the characters, very well written. Zhang Wansen was always there for Lin Beixing even when she didn’t know about him at all. I couldn’t stop crying for the last 8 or 9 episodes so now I have the reddest eyes lol 10/10 for Shining for One Thing the movie better come out soon
