it's me again with an unpopular opinion, and honestly it's not a common occurrence lol.
I kept thinking what this reminded me of and it took me so long until it clicked...
See you in my 19th life genre trope, but this had bigger issues.

Couldn't the characters go about the beginning of their love differently? I mean yeah magic but I still wonder... why was the approach so questionable.
One of the issues I had is that this story wasn't showing the main characters actually feeling their deepest feelings for each other, it was hard for me to believe their emotions and notice their development, they seemed to have enough chemistry for me to like their encounters and conversations but there was something off at times, then the storyline felt disperse, the flashback scenes were all over the place until they revealed the mystery and it was hard to stay engaged when it was like this.

The mystery behind the story was quite an interesting element, but again, the structure almost made it in accessible for me.

finally someone who mentions this! the drinking while on strong meds is a no no and it threw me off for a while,…
yeah that's an issue this kdrama had for sure, I think they needed to tone down the comedy for these type of scenes, because ironically the comedy is what made me enjoy the show, I liked the idea of doctors taking care of their health as a theme and overall it was a decent / good k-drama but WHY why the alcohol thing 😭

agreed I had these thoughts while watching it but for most people on this app who watch airing dramas they claim…
not an imagine dragons fan either lol, the aesthetics of that kdrama reminded me of one of their music videos lol, I watched that a while ago so I don't remember if there were two brothers but the plot had to do with a guy selling his soul to the devil to make good music, Song Kang was young and he had a secondary role but he was pretty decent there, yeah I also started using that app to make a movie watchlist but when I found kdramas I made lists and I review there everything I watch now hehe

I watched the first season of Sweet home and I didn't like it, I just thought it was not my style at all,be er read the webtoon so I don't have a reference, the episodes felt draggy and the characters dynamics kind of one dimensional and plain boring, so I haven't watched the second part, and yes, I think Navillera was his best role, there's another one less popular called When the devil calls your name and I think his role was decent for his age, and yeah it's letterboxd, I think users of that app tend to watch different productions and perhaps their opinions are broader but even for Pyramid Game seemed like I was the one of the few who had a different opinion.

finally someone who mentions this! the drinking while on strong meds is a no no and it threw me off for a while, I wish they toned it down a notch at least, I know that Korea culture is more about embracing the rituals of drinking and to a certain extend I can understand parts of it, but it's doctors and meds...... it's a bit...... it made me feel like it was minimizing the severity of it

ah yes, I've noticed that when I use this app the opinions are definitely more on the hype trends type of thing, I am on a different app that also logs movies and documentaries, etc, and there are more varied contrasting opinions, at the end of the day I've realized that everyone's ideal of a good show is subjective and that's the beauty of it too, I didn't like this kdemaa as much but it had some interesting elements I guess, I had my Demon on my watchlist and I've been doubtful ever since the entire Internet decided to hate it lol I feel like Song Kang has only chosen a couple of good k-dramas in his career one of them being Navillera.

reading some reviews and I guess I have an unpopular opinion, I do think it was overall good and the acting was nice specially knowing it the first role for many, but I just found it a bit tedious, repetitive and honestly a bit predictable mostly because the narrations gave a lot of the contents of the strategies away, I could tell this was going to bring back and forth fights almost synchronized, I wish they let the characters personalities shine more and show their feelings and gave that a bit more time on screen, I wanted to get to know them better and feel for them throughout the whole show but I feel like I couldn't do that as much.

quite disappointed, builds momentum very slowly to the point it lost me, second half tries to be scary but the jumpscares never got to me, the scary parts weren't scary to me to be very honest, the acting was solid, I just think the story didn't set up the cues properly.

is it so good ? YesIs it worth watching? Absolutelyis it worthy of top spot of MDL and 9.2? No
it's a really great comforting show that's worth watching, solid acting, amazing character development, easy going smooth plot, there's comedy, romance, coming of age stories, tragedy and everything in between, I can't say it's an absolute masterpiece but it has something special to it and it's one of those shows that's memorable, I understand why people give it a high rating as I gave it myself but I can't say it's a 9.2 per se? ...weird I know but yeah just my thoughts hehe 😅

Title The Worst of Evil Spoiler
Joon mo let kichul free at the end. But when kichul came in front of him and was gonna shot himself. Why did joon…
to me everything was a way of apologizing, in many ways the meaning of this drama relies on showing that there isn't such a clear line between what's evil or not, Kicheul was always good and trusted blindly his partner in crime, the last scene of him getting shot represents Joonmo having pity for Kicheul, and committing the sin for hik, having mercy and doing the dirty work for him one last time, in the very last cementery scene I can't say that he necessarily said that he was ending the marriage but more so that once again he was forgiving himself and Kicheul for loving his wife, that's why he put the ring there and the cigarettes was a last goodbye to his gangster life, but that's all speculation of course! quite an open ending I guess.

also, surprised they didn't censor the cigarettes lol (maybe they did in KR?)
it's because it's an original Netflix production, if it were to be broadcasted in a local channel then they'll probably censor it as they have different restrictions.

Title Bros on Foot
This was really wholesome and they had really good synergy while working together, you can also tell they felt really close to each other and it happened naturally and quite fast, I laughed a lot bc they were just so funny without even trying, Minho seems like such a sweet and energetic guy, my cutie pie Jingoo at times is awkward but hey so sweet, thoughtful and tenacious, Mr Jungwoo is truly so funny and witty he just pulls some crazy jokes, and Mr Jihoon is so adventurous and tries to bring everyone together with his energy because he's just friendly!! I loved how this production also brought the staff to the screen for a bit, seems like everyone had fun.. man I don't know how they do it. that first meal was so sad 😂 I'll never understand why the reward is at such stake, playing to earn money is torture in situations like this! hope to see this group again in the future.
