Without the revenge, the drama is very generic, but they have such a huge budget that I really think they could have made this better.

I think they're supposed to be young adults the whole way through, but Xiao Zhan originally is not a babyface type. In order to advance in his career, I think he needs to pick better scripts but he may not have a lot of choice given his situation.

They're 1 paragraph long and generic enough to be generated from ChatGPT. Some of the accounts submitted multiple reviews. Sounds like anti behavior, right? But all of these "antis" gave the drama 9+/10 at just 6 episodes in. Who's the real "antis" here?

This is a drama review site not a fan gathering. You can police the reviews and ratings but you can't chop off people's eyes and ears.

This checking the accounts arc is pretty good so far (ep 29-32). I really liked the uncle + Gu Jiusi teaming up to investigate, with the help of Jiusi's buddies. They also foreshadowed what the prince would do really well.
However Luo Zishang has just started applying pressure, I hope he has some more tricks up his sleeve otherwise it was a bit too easy.

Two small nitpicks: first I think BJT should be a bit more humble when he talks to the princess, to not seem OOC. Second this imperial law seems very odd and dramatic and probably wasn't the route Jiusi intended for Yurui to take. It's good we have DNA testing in this day and age.

The MDL page for this drama is basically a fan circlejerk, and a quarter of the way in, even they are barely discussing the plot...

Episode 30 they seem to be starting the Gu Jiusi vs. Lou Zishang direct showdown. Hope they can take their time and make it epic.
