I just want to learn about this, when a korean drama or etc , premiere date is known before airing date, but chinese…
actually chinese dramas used to have proper airing schedules and notices too but since an year or two, they just have become totally unpredictable and spontaneous. previously you could also guess when a drama would air as it would be based on factor like seasons.....like summer and winters, actors already having a drama airing would not have another drama to be aired, license approval time, poster/trailer release. But now they are defying all these factors, anything is happening these days. That's possibly because of the changes in licensing strictness, so all the dramas that were earlier filmed did not got license approval until later. so most of them are kinda lying like a stock in storage houses with all these platforms like iqiyi,wetv, mangotv, youku and so on. now they air all about at the same time to compete with each other, kinda like a platform war. Now they don't care if a similar concept-drama is airing. they just want to compete with similar stuffs. my guess is romance dramas from other platforms are gonna air sooner now to compete with this one and to see who get the most hype. Although, they will fear bcuz it's zhao lusi this time. but within a month, you'll see other romance modern dramas. That's the only way you can guess things now
first drama.....where they truly cherish their own lives which should be the norm!! Loved this aspect! Also, I just love the FL. Atp I believe she can play just any role, in one of her previous dramas, she played an innocent girl and she aced it. Here she played a bold selfish character and she nailed it again!! A QUEEN for a reason!
Watched the whole thing in just 2 days!! This was an ART fr!! I hope chinese dramas get back with their amazing production skills, it's always a dream to watch content like this. Well deserved praise in terms of acting from all the cast members!! I didn't disliked a single character. It was fun to watch regardless of the subtle ending. At least the ending wasn't trash, and I'm happy for that.
One word to describe this drama: Dedicated To The unfairness of life and unwavering determination for the best. Indeed, why not try our best in life when we can!? We all deserves as many chances in life as there can be, as long as we stand put and continue to defy fate

it's been raining cats and dogs where I live. raining for months, almost never-ending. The weather is so eerie and perfect to watch this stuff. This is pure bliss~~
This was kinda guilty pleasure of a drama!! It did not give what it committed. I feel the only genuine thing about this drama was its fighting scenes which were 100/100 except that it did not did well in any of the category. Plot, although individually interesting did not contributed well to the storyline. It felt like the first 16-17 eps was for nothing. bcuz they did not served the purpose for the eps. after 17th episode or so. It's like all those 17 episodes had only one purpose- to make the main leads meet each other and clear their misunderstanding but it didn't served the purpose for collection of evidence or revenge. If they knew they will found evidence outside yezhou then why stay in yezhou all this while.
Also, Whoever wrote the dialogues did a terrible job really.....no originality. except for the dialogues taken from the novel, all the other dialogues were rubbish. Recycling the same dialogue over and over again. Using the most basic af word. Such mediocre dialogues truly pissed me off.
The only thing that made it so interesting till the last was its fighting or sword scenes. Both the lead did well in comedic or fighting scenes, but I feel they lacked the right energy in romance or emotional scenes. They overdid a bit in romance or emotional scenes. I guess emotional scenes were hard to act for all the actors in this drama. I didn't felt that yearning from it. Anyways, it was a good pass-time drama. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't that GOOD as we expected it to be. Like it didn't stood up to our expectations and maybe that's why a lot of people are disappointed, including me since this was my most anticipated drama of the year.
Btw, FL did a really good job at portraying as a male. At times, it really felt like she was a man.
