I don’t understand how the ML is sacrificing the FL? Is he scheming behind her back or what?
he's using FL as a bait to do something with the Xin family that is going to create enough chaos, for which the blame will be shifted on FL since she didn't helped her in-laws know about the scheming beforehand. Bcuz of which she won't be ever able to marry into the Xin family
I wanted to drop this so many times. Not a good sign when you’re relieved it’s over so you can watch something…
finally someone who agrees with me....i too feel that it got interesting from ep7. They should've kept this concept of clarity since the beginning. Bcuz of first 6 episodes, the after effects still persisted throughout the drama storyline. And no FL was required at all
The concepts were nice but the story they created out of it was terribly terrible. There was no need of both the FL character and the character of Kang Joongmo......bcuz if anyone cares to explain, what did they even contributed to the plot. They created a whole mess out of it. It still gives me ick how they went off-board from the plot of friends- duo fighting for their common goal to rivals and for what reason...kissing the FL just before the marriage. The thing i'm most disappointed about is that all that potential of the concept and the actors got wasted just like that.
I really now want another drama with the same male leads where there is like bromance at its peak and an amazing storyline!! AND please guys choose the script nicely the next time.....you don't need to curry favours to anyone cuz that leads to disappointment within audience and fans
The series is more focused on the job of a profiler rather than the criminals. Normally, crime- thrillers provide their audience with thrill through their cat-mouse chase, where it seems difficult to catch the criminals and includes various efforts to do so. However, this one is different from the usual. This one is more of a way to make the audience familiarise with the job of profilers and their need in the society to catch the criminals , which is why it slowly progresses in that direction to make the viewers learn about that process from the scratch. It's more towards a maturer side rather than providing immense thrill. Moreover, it will be more likeable to the people interested in knowing the 'criminal psychology' specifically rather than watching a criminal chase. Here, the investigation process and getting a confession out of the criminals through a mind war is the thrilling part rather than catching the criminals.
Also, this drama is significantly focused on the development of the leads as profilers since they didn't started with it originally in their careers, but rather felt the need to study such criminal behaviours as it would help in reducing the time to catch psychopathic criminals, who kill solely for the purpose of pleasure and therefore normal investigation methods fail to catch and identify them as the perpetrators. You cannot catch them solely through their MO unless you understand their mind and psychological behaviour which is different from a normal human being.
The series is set in the time frame of the year 2000-2004 specifically which the viewers need to keep in mind as they watch the show, since psychopathic criminals was not a normal deal back then and science was still evolving. The leads are also learning through the process of profiling and updating their knowledge by interviewing such criminals. One thing needs to be noted is that, there wasn't much development of such educational field of criminal psychology back then and therefore it had to be studied by our lead actors by themselves rather than learning it in a college or something. You should therefore enjoy the process of them getting better at their job each day and with each case, where they also learn to embrace their own hearts within such evil environment where the criminals do not repent or feel remorse over their killings and if had chance would still murder more people.
Also, there is a misunderstanding through the summary that the series only involves a single case i.e. of 'Red Cap' however this series includes more number of cases specially involving different serial killers.
I really like captain kook and chief Heo's friendship....they are so adorable together. moreover captain Kook's english is so cute.....especially when he says 'I love you' to his family. It's cringe af yet suprisingly, i came to like it a lot
Amazing storyline after ep 6.....did you happen to take LSD after episode 6 or something lol? Just in episodes…
I'm not praising the script....i'm talking about the concept and plot....mainly the psychological war between the male leads. The loopholes in the storyline is bound to happen since they created them in those first 6 episodes. neither i am trying to talk about details....i never mentioned them in my comment bcuz ik they were illogical. what i'm trying to say is that in the first 6 episodes things were so ambiguous that we didn't knew what was happening or what the intent behind it was. but at least we are clear now that there is a war between taeoh and inha. the concept of taeoh fighting his own made strategy is good, which they should've sticked with from the start. its bcuz of the poor scriptwriting, that the actors doing a good job in implementing that mood, got nothing good to show to us as a proper show.
Believe me or not, I've laughed at all those illogical scenes that you just mentioned bcuz ik how ridiculous they were. but i'm not talking about that so you don't need to attack me for it. most of us are watching this show only bcuz of the male leads , its for those people. bcuz it was all too time wasting but now at least the show isn't so unbearable. we can enjoy that fight between the leads.
btw I don't think you understand the meaning of having an opinion. please look carefully if the other person is even talking about the same stuff as you before pouncing on them. I'm evaluating it in an analytical manner and not the details but as a show as a whole. I'm looking at it from the perspective where a "going downhill" kinda drama, showed improvements. and with amendments it could all become a worthy show. what u see is reality, what i see is possibility
Congrats to those who sticked to the drama till ep 6....cuz after that it got an amazing storyline. I feel they should've gone with this concept since the beginning rather than an illogical plot. Its fun to watch things now. like there's something the viewers can look forward to....(like the psychological fight between taeoh and inha)
It feels as if the director was high af when he was making those first 6 episodes but then after that he got sober. This also made me realise that it wasn't all bcuz of the FL but bcuz of the poor directing that the show got a bad start. Tbh I don't mind the love triangle shit now bcuz it kinda goes with plot. but this is also an evidence that they should've let hyewon be with taeoh since the beginning. I don't understand the need of both the leads to get involved with Inha. since Taeoh had enough capabilities to get in the top league since Kang joongmo cherishes his sharp mind and strategies. hyewon I understand that she had to marry him so she could easily get a good position in the company. but if she and Taeoh had worked together, it could also get them about the same results
Still it can never make me like the drama overall....they wasted such a good cast. terrible scriptwriting i've seen so far in all those years. would never recommend it to anyone even by mistake
I think the 'story within a story' is just a set up and actually the whole thing that FL is writing or dictating to the viewers right now is her real life story/ reality which has happened in past which made the ML and FL got together in the present
I think the last episode was more or less unnecessary. There was almost nothing to see....they could've added some fun elements in the last one at least. we never got to see the girls living a fun high school life
things just turned the worst way possible for them!! But at least it became interesting with this week's episodes and viewers have something to focus on ....rather than a messy storyline of who wants what Taeoh's rise is all I want
It still gives me ick how they went off-board from the plot of friends- duo fighting for their common goal to rivals and for what reason...kissing the FL just before the marriage.

we complement each other lol
