Another romcom full of cringe and boring story, for me. I don't really like romcoms, so maybe it's just me, I…
I can write the same for "See You In My 19th life" failed narrative and chemistry (oh I have a lot of opinion that I didn't write in the "See You In My 19th life" comment section)
but you come here, saying you don't like romcom and recommending "See You In My 19th life" here reeks insecurities. You don't actually want to talk about KTL, what you want is to say that "See You In My 19th life" is better than KTL and my guess for the reason is that you are wondering if "See You In My 19th life" is really that good , you've never care about KTL.
I like the way his eyes following her and when her expression brighten up, he start looking happier. The drama does a good job showing it and it gives me the feels that he falls for her even by looking at her. The eye contact with their small detail adds up over time. The scene in the car is a good example, the highlight is his emotion but most of the scene play out by sarang and samsik and we are following where his eyes goes to their interaction.
I think the last 2 episode is what makes me fall in love with korean dramas and what I miss most in recent korean…
It does reminds me of the silly kdrama charm that just there. I don't want to sounds like a downer but kdrama was popular because of their execution and not just their premise. Those shalalala song that you hear when the leads character lock their eyes.
Added to that, the acting of the 2 main leads is excellent!
I watch their interview and they look so relax together, sometimes you can see their chemistry and it feels like they are enjoying this as much as you. It's the execution, drama is not just the story but also the execution.
For those saying this was done to hype the drama, just a reminder.. They hit that 12% pretty comfortably without…
After I watch ep 5, I know ep 6 will be higher, you can see the drama trajectory after you watch the episode. Also I thought their rumor will be earlier as this usually happen with popular romcom with good and natural chemistry, dating rumor will come out suddenly, not to mention both is a popular idol. The have shipper before the drama.
I am on the camp that don't want them to have confirmed news even if the leads are dating. I feel like celebrity will have their news immortalized in the internet, that included how reporter will bring up their past relationship in their present work so it's fine either way with me. I like them as individual, couple and also drama couple. Also I know this rumor will come the moment I see them interacting on screen, they have chemistry that also can be translated into real life, you can see them behave like this in real life therefore rumor will be there no matter what
Whenever a drama is airing, commenters always go to a weird morally high ground. it’s like because it’s airing…
You know, I came here for all those slow motion panned to the eyes shot, all the accidental trip while walking to your embrace, giggly smile upon text and those flashback about remembering their smile. I come for all the cheesy scene because it just fun to see it, that's why it's on the drama since you can't really see it in real life despite the moment that it happen. When you have a crush, you remember all those fidgety feeling, waiting for text or you even imaging the accidental close gap between you, the almost kissing scenario , the dinner together and the stupid reason you start doing online quiz about your attachment theory but you can't see it again since it's usually not on camera so that's when you watch romcom.
I get the comment about the characters and stuff but I don't understand why it always follows with, "xxxx is better…
yeah, why they have to come here if all they did is comparison? I've avoided drama discussion despite watching it and this drama criticism also in another drama discussion and I was baffled by that.
Also please give an award to the costume designer here for this Kdrama, I mean, even the hotel uniforms are so…
This drama setting is giving everything. Their hotel feels like another character, I can actually picture the dimension, the vibe and the room in this hotel.
King The Land is definitely better than most negative comments are making it out to be. Of course it's not a revolutionary,…
Drama is the one that makes the viewer discussed so it depends on the drama. What I don't understand is why viewer flock to criticise drama that gives them no overarching plot or mystery for not having groundbreaking plot/premise, like this drama. You can't criticise at something that isn't existing and will not exist as their weakness, it's like asking why chocolate doesn't taste like strawberry. If your favourite drama get bad reception, maybe it's your drama problem and not other drama in the same time slot.
I wonder why this cliche and silly romcom keeps getting on Netflix Top 10 worldwide since it started airing. When…
I get the comment about the characters and stuff but I don't understand why it always follows with, "xxxx is better and I better watch that" Seriously? I don't think they ever watch this drama for the premise
Okay this might seem a bit controversial... but idk something about this drama seems a bit off. Like, I know it…
Since you add comparison, I also watch See You in My 19th Life and completely disappointed in that. The story line is indeed fresh but the execution lack so much. Technical wise, See You in My 19th Life is lacking in their shot and thematic theme, there are couple of moment in this week where I don't know how people come and goes, why they are in this location and why it's suddenly night or raining, the background soundtrack is straight bad and distracting. They neglected all the small details that can build up the drama. Then the story is all set up without payback, the character is shallow and the plot is messy upon more viewing. KTL has more supporting character than See You in My 19th Life but already been able to explore their supporting character life and give the viewer a good look whenever they have new setting. KTL is better when you try to analyse it while See You in My 19th Life is completely falling apart. Not to mention it has creepy vibes that the drama itself seems to be proud of. See You in My 19th Life reminds of KDrama as a whole this recent years, many start off promising but miss the landing, For me, romcom is about timing because they don't rely on plot or narrative but the mood and the ambience so it's reasonable when it's not working on people. On the other hand See You in My 19th Life gives the viewer plot to analyse while on itself, fails to deliver. It bank of the sad past life story to make viewer cry but nothing has substance in the present life because of the shallow dialogue choice. Watch it with more discrepancy and you'll see what I mean how See You in My 19th Life is all show but no substance (so far up to ep 4)
I stop commenting there cause I am tired of people praising a show that pride itself narratively but also can't hold itself under question, rely on mystery and self interpretation because the show hasn't explained itself at all.
Not people really like this cliche but this is what romcom should be, its cheesy and cliche but it gives us butterfly…
I want to argue that this drama is best at both side. The more I spend time with the plot, this drama has a good world building and the character is already flesh out. You understand each character in episode 4 and they have a lot, including the supporting actors. Like everyone can rally with Sarang's friend at this point, for their respective happinesss. You can enjoy this drama as the cheesy one because it's an easy watch and it also holds up when you analyse it.
