I wish they had shown us a glimpse of what their βFridayβsβ were like, not the intimacy but their interactions.…
I think the boundaries they put on their relationship keeps them both from acting outside of those. Plans for the future, even for the near one, are too scary to consider with how fragile the thing the have is. For me this makes sense and I find it pretty realistic. Tao is trying to put her career first and not compromise her future, but in the end, she can't help feeling hurt with the nature of their relationship. The same goes for Luan Nian. He is going along with the conditions she set from the beggining, as well as keeping himself safe by trying not to fall too much into it, but he still ends up hurt. Anyway, they will only fix this when they figure out how to be honest with each other. Also, when their dynamic shifts. At the end of the day, him being her boss will always put both of them in a dangerous and difficult position.
I'm commenting because I can't see anyone else talking about this, but Shi Yuhao's end broke my heart. I know he's not exactly a fan favourite, there's no excuse for all his wrongs. But just like the first time he contemplated suicide, his final decision this time was sad to see. I was just wondering if other people also sympathized with him, seeing as he tried to change his ways after all the pain and harm he caused to those around him. I'm not sure if he can ever be redeemed, even if he put an end to his life, but looking at him as a human who carried his own pain, I simply felt it was a heartbreaking ending. Anyway, I'm still ugly crying with all the feelings this wonderful series brought. Won't stop anytime soon. Cheers.
I have the same issue with this drama's watchers as I did with those of "Rising with the wind". Everyone calling FL emotional, immature, senseless, childish, annoying. RWTW FL even had a thorough business studies upbringing so no need to even try to see if some of these claims are true.
ABAY FL indeed is inept to the reality of the business world. So before developing feelings for ML, even though relunctantly, she appreciated and made use of every lesson he taught her and trusted him on a certain level, as she saw that he was right in his suggestions on how to solve her company's problems and her goals were being achieved with his guidance one by one.
However, when your investor, the person who has had the upper hand in your business all along, becomes your partner in your personal life, things are bound to get messy. RWTW is a whole different conversation regarding this issue so I'll just stick to this drama. In ABAY Han Ting may have not broken any of the promises he made to Xing regarding Xingchen, his intentions were always good and the choices he made guaranteed the best outcome for it.
However, good intentions when silent are pretty much useless in regards to their relationship, when the only thing left for Ji Xing to see is the result. Han Ting took actions and what he gave Ji Xing is only one option which is to accept them. As an investor, he has nothing to apologize for. Everything he did can only be considered rightfully reasonable. But expecting Ji Xing to simply watch as Xingchen is being handled by all these other people while she's not in the know, is what is truly unreasonable of Han Ting.
Since he decided to pursue her and start a relationship with her, even if he is not obligated to be transparent with her about his business affairs, he should have known that the trust they have built with each other can and will be shaken the minute of them chooses to hide something this important. Acting first and reporting later is the norm for the powerful in the business world. But Han Ting missed the part where Ji Xing, as his girlfriend, should have at least been warned about significant changes in her business. He has the world, but she only has Xingchen. He loves her so he knows how important it is to her. With his actions he ensured the best outcome for it. But by not communicating any of his thoughts to Ji Xing, he should have been prepared for his relationship to be tested or even to end up being the price he has to pay for sticking to his ways.
FL is emotional, especially compared to ML. Is she expected not to feel anything when she's the last to know what is happening with her business, the thing she has given up so much for? FL is childish, immature. Is she supposed to be happy and go along with everything people who are her seniors decide to do with Xingchen? Is she not expected to get at least angry if she may or may not have been used a pawn for her partner's power struggle?
I will say this. Han Ting and Ji Xing both have very understandable reactions and behaviours during this time. The drama is well written and I am enjoying it. What I can't stand either here or in the RWTW fan space, is the superficial understanding the watchers have of the FLs. Like, give it some more thought, please. They are also romance dramas besides being business themed. The focus is also on the relationships. Where there are actions, there will be reactions. Where there is silent expectation for understanding, there is risk of being severely misunderstood.
That's all I had to say. People who understand what I tried to express are welcome to comment π people who don't, also are welcome, but be nice please π
I think he has a child. He got a call once from someone saved as "my prncess" in his phone. As other users already said he also has to keep certain aspects of his life secret due to his occupation, which must be the reason why he's used to keeing things even from important people in his life. This however might cost him his relationship with Lili. Hope he can be tranparent with her soon before all the secrecy brings them down.
This is my first time seeing the works of Products engineers. I m not feeling bore To be very honest. I kinda…
I was talking about this yesterday with my cousin who is an engineer. I was telling him that it's the first time I've been interested in this field π
Yes, he's great and he gets to show his skills since the character's well written. I always find myself wanting to enjoy dramas he's in, but most of the roles he got in the past were not half as good as han ting, in my opinion. So I'm finally enjoying xu kai and his charms in their full glory π
yes, slow burn fits the romance aspect of this drama, but I think most will agree that it's very satisfying since their scenes are always filled with tension and make us all giddy anyway
my mental stability is hanging by a thread and that thread is pretty much this drama, which made me drop all my other shows, idk what I'm gonna do when it ends
This video contains spoilers in regards to Tong'ers death:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Pv7tZpvw6o
you put a spoiler warning and I clicked on it anyway π everyone, don't be stupid like me, if you don't want to read spoilers heed the warnings πππ
I'm not kidding NOTHING WORKS πππππ I attempted to rewatch Story of Kunning Palace yesterday, which I had been saving for a situation such as this. I BARELY finished the first episode and it's one of my favourite dramas. There is no helping this situation. I'll try to find something new but honestly, I have little faith. Do share if you find something interesting enough though π€
omg where was the drama tagdoes it get better from the first episode? cause there's a lot to nitpick
I would say it becomes a whole new show. when I started it I thought that all the dramatic shots and surrealism stuff would be prominent throughout the series but this vibe only makes its appearance very few more times. other than that it's an amazing drama, give it a chance
I can only rewatch Story of Kunning Palace while I wait. Nothing else works right now. This drama made me lose…
Thank you all for the recommendations. I have watched everything listed though π And Kunning palace didn't work, I kept getting distracted because I miss the duke and ali πππ I'll just wake up to the new episodes I guess. goodnight everyone
I can only rewatch Story of Kunning Palace while I wait. Nothing else works right now. This drama made me lose interest in all the others I was watching. If anyone has a suggestion that matches The Double's level, please tell me, I'm desperate. And yes, I've already watched all the classics. And no, kdramas won't do. Please and thank you.
lol some of the comments on the youku videos..."FL should know martial arts"List of FL Traits we've seen so far:-…
She is incredibly smart, in a real-life genius kind of way. I also found myself thinking that it'd be nice if she could defend herself better in that moment but that's because she was probably thinking that herself. And at the end of the day, she knows how to make good use of every tool around her even if that's a person so that where she lacks, she makes no losses.
I'm once again saying that goddamn eyeliner on WXY is to die for
People have been talking about the eyeliner, and I am like what eyeliner? But I see that I am the only one who doesn't see it, it's my god awful eyesight.
