First Lakorn I've ever watched (and I've been watching a few years now) without a third party/2nd female lead who is annoying/evil b_tch who wants to kill off/harm the female lead.
And let me just say - so many gorgeous ladies in this Lakorn! From Kade to Mae Ying, to Maria, the farang's women/girls and even Kade's servant, Yam! Major 2nd male lead syndrome here - from his looks to attitude towards the FL. The ML just didn't do it for me- both in the looks department or acting. I had to skip the scenes with the farang, Constantine. Idk if it's because of the actor (who I never liked in any Lakorns) but his scenes were just so boring for me.
Overall a good Lakorn. It was good enough that I had to get Thai food from watching all the food that they cooked here.
Dropped this after episode 6 as I didn't like the ex-husband and best friend turned husband's mistress. How they were being shown all lovey-dovey to each other infront of the FL and while FL suffers and covers for her cheating ex to their children. And how the in-laws are being mean to her as well. She's the one who was cheated on, for chrissakes!
Maybe one day I'll come back to this and just make sure to skip the parts of these 2.
Wrong move! I shouldnt have watched this til it was complete, subbed & uploaded. Im stuck @ anticipationHopefully…
I'm with you! So annoyed that I started it not knowing that not all episodes are subbed! The suspense is killing me! I just love the main leads so much! They're so adorable and cute and their chemistry!!! Bonus points that the kiss scenes aren't dead fish ones. LOL
Good article. Kudos to your courage and openness and I wish you well on your life journey.
The only thing I have watched from this list is "The Smile Has Left your Eyes" so I will definitely check them out.
For myself, the very first drama that I've ever watched that dealt with mental health issues was "It's Okay, That's Love" and it resonated with me.
I hope that by you writing this article, there will be more mental health awareness (at least in the drama world community) - that the messages will go through: you are not alone, that there is help and that having mental health issues should not define who you are as a person.
Big hugs to you from somebody who suffers from anxiety/depression .
Dropped. The amount of ads for shampoo and commercial products in this is ridiculous! I mean, I get that shows need to make money and product placement is inevitable but this one is the most product placement in your face show I've ever seen. Just MHO.
Loved the chemistry between the main leads. Hated the second leads. Skipped their parts and just concentrated on the main leads' oozing chemistry! If you get past the supernatural/magic/sorcery aspect and the horrible soundtrack, this is watchable enough just for the main leads., IMHO.
dropped it at episode 9. I tried to watch as much as I can but there were too much evilness and too many evil/antagonist people in this that I can't take it anymore. But that's just me and my humble opinion.
Currently watching this and loving it so far. Great chemistry between the main leads! First time seeing the actor who plays the male lead & now becoming a fan. The female lead I have seen in "My Amazing Boyfriend" and I like her.
I really love Master Kim's voice-over while Eun Jae was talking to her Mom & how Eun Jae used it IRL and in that situation:
"That's why your own will is important to an operating surgeon. When your will of wanting to do it turns into the assurance that you can do it, the success rate of the surgery goes up. This is your operation (to which Eun Jae told her Mom: "this is my life"). Do what you think is right". ~ Master Kim to Eun Jae ~
Can someone tell me if this is the 2nd season of Romantic Doctor, or is it a completely different cast? I haven't…
Personally I think it's better to watch the 1st season so you get a general idea about Doldam, Master Kim and the rest of the recurring characters. It just helps to better understand the characters and the inner workings of Doldam as an institution. I myself started Romantic 2 and after watching episode 1, decided that I need to watch the first season first so I binge-watched it then went back to watch the rest of season 2. But - if you don't have the time, it's certainly not a biggie. Just sharing my experience.
Eun Jae needs to use that card she got. She might be able to help Woo Jin...I was waiting for her mom's appearance,…
I agree. I am sooo glad we were able to finally hear Eun Jae's side of the story. And that finally she stood up for herself. And agree again on that hug. That was so touching and sweet!
Just finished watching this and it was interesting, entertaining and different. Agree with everyone - unique, unpredictable, funny, serious. Will post a review one day.
My least favorite character was the Mom. She was the most selfish, self-absorbed, egotistical Mom I've ever encountered in drama-land.
Omg I just saw finished watching "Oh My Ghostess" and I kept hoping that he had a bigger role there. He had chemistry with Park Bo Young! I will now have to watch his other shows : )
