It's amazing how well this drama balances the comedy and the crazy while still dealing with some deep issues and touchy subjects. Laugh-out-loud funny, yet still touching!
I've been so surprised that there wasn't more talk about it, so I was very glad to see this article! Thanks!
It makes me want a real copy of "The Book of Drama Mysteries". Then I could snuggle up in bed with it, fully-dressed in an ugly outfit, a hot bowl of too much ramen on the nightstand, and contemplate these significant life questions!
Think of it like Pride & Prejudice. Jane and Lizzie just want to marry for love. Their patience and basic human decency (unlike younger sister Lydia) is rewarded by getting the whole package: handsome, decent men who love them, and who also happen to have unbelievably huge fortunes. Of course, that's not at all how it happens in real life, but that's precisely why we like it. Sweet escape!
