Amazing, just simply amazing, the story, the acting the OST all of it just came as a surprise for a person who watched a lot of kdramas. wish there is more Kdramas of this level.

I stopped watching only 30 min into the first ep for the following reasons: why do Korean dramas when they want to include foreign actors they choose unknown actors from eastern Europe, their English is bad and their acting is subpar. second, i felt that it is a cheap attempt to include a foreign actor in the first place just to add an international flare to the story, Korea as a country which literally is still in a state of war, you can find a lot of ex special forces Korean military around the country, and making one of them the mentor of the child would have been much better to the story in general

The acting, the story and the directing were all amazing, but the OST was way over, it gave me the feeling that it was for an epic film where there is big battle of sward fighting and horses especially the loud drum banging.

I am amazed at the bad reviews and comments this show has gathered so far, for a western viewer who has been watching Korean dramas on and off for the last few years, I can say that this show is among the best produced this year if not simply The best. First, the show avoided the numerous cliches that almost all Korean dramas must have, there is no decent Cinderella who falls for a rich immature man, there is no abusive overbearing mother/mother in law, there is no boss who treats his subordinates as sub humans, there is no evil character who doesn’t have a shred of humanity and acts like a psychopath, and most importantly, the drama didn’t wait until the last episode to reveal the mystery of the universe or for the lovers to finally catch their breath. The drama was as realistic as life itself, there was no convoluted plot or weird conversations, I didn’t spend my time watching this drama wondering why this or that person did that or didn’t say this. Finally, excellent drama and I recommend it for anybody who likes to watch something of high value regarding acting, directing, and story. Kudos to the writer and the cast of this great drama.
