ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND A MUST-WATCH!

where do i even start? good God! this is everything - EVERYTHING - i could hope for in a love story, and the fact that it was delivered through a mm romance just made it 100x better!
the childhood friends to strangers to lovers to enemies to lovers trope was executed with such brilliance and perfection UGH i fear no other mm/bl will catch up to the masterpiece this show was! and i found out it was a low budget show???? like WHERE? the acting was delivered so well i did not even notice any lack in production quality! i wish i could make everyone i know watch this series
the ending was bittersweet but it also made so much sense, especially to their character arcs! i can't believe they made me feel such a myriad of emotions over the span of 12 episodes, esp because each episode was only 35 minutes! but i'm also glad they didn't drag it further because the pacing was JUST RIGHT.
loved everything about this series, man. i hope we get more Chinese bl/mm dramas. K-bls are always too bloody short and Thai bls are just NC scenes and p0rn without plot at this point. It was such a breath of fresh air to watch Kill To Love. absolute perfection.

Great Start - Until Unecessary Censorship

this show had a great premise and really strong start - especially since it focused on Hao's mental health and how none of his family members could see his struggle because he was the "good boy" in class. It's after his cousin's arrival that things start to change, because his cousin Jiashu sees that something's really wrong with Hao and decides to help him get better mentally.
Obviously, for this kind of storyline, you need lots of emotionally intimate scenes between both cousins - however, after the first few episodes, it was all cut from the series and it made for a very choppy editing :( so many scenes between Hao and Jiashu was cut, and it's ridiculous?? I mean, they're cousins!! this was a totally family-based drama, so they didn't have to censor it in such a way. If certain fans are going to such an extreme to even ship family members, that's the fans' fault. They shouldn't punish the entire audience for it! The censoring literally stole the essence of the show, and we don't get to see the bulk of the progress between Hao and Jiashu, instead focusing only on the He family and the viallge's dragon boat racing drama. It's such a shame, because it started really well, only for the showrunners to fumble it in the middle.

An actual bromance, rather than a censored BL!!

the plot was alright, but characterisation was superb! and I really like how the villains were written as well - in some cases, I felt like the law didn't really do justice, you know? especially in the orphanage storyline... like I wish there had been a better outcome for the man and the daughter :(
I also wish LFP was shown lenience by the law because of what he did at the end (there was no other choice, was there?) but all in all, really enjoyed it! Characterisation >>>> plot, definitely! The final scene made me so emotional.
Also, I personally felt like the actor who played LF didn't deliver much, but the one who played LFP did a really good job - even the supporting cast acted really well! I loved shows like The Untamed, Word of Honour, Justice in the Dark etc - but those are censored BLs rather than actual bromance (=platonic pairing), and I feel like Desire Catcher falls under the bromance category, so that was a nice change too - to be given platonic representation on the screen.
like i mentioned, story wasn't much but i gave it the rating because it's a new and refreshing premise for me what with hypnosis being used to commit crimes and such.

Unsatisfactory Ending

I didn't think it was possible for a tv series with 10 brilliant episodes to simply ruin itself with one single episode. What even was the finale?! This show should've wrapped up with the 10th or 11th episode! the 12th was so unnecessary and just undid the brilliance of all the previous episodes; I have no idea what the writers were thinking! Ruined the entire experience for me
