As someone with Crohn's Disease I decided to go and watch the episode in question and I personally see nothing at fault, being unable to reverse a Stoma and requiring a Temporary ileostomy are sadly procedures that people have to undergo and is the same for those with bowel cancer, the feeling of being back to the beginning with treatment programs and the lack of hope that comes with that is truly horrific, I lost 4 years of life before entering remission. I understand the objections to the behaviour and language of the mother and father in law who are awful human beings and with the character with the disease feeling as down as he did to go to the roof at the end, I see no issue with this either, given how debilitating the condition is and the surgery he would of gone under it is sadly understandable why he would feel and behave the way he does.
10/10 Every episode moved me to tears some cause of genuinely sad scenes, but most of the time because of how wholesome the scenes where, Yamazaki Kento's acting skills are beyond question, how he adapted to his role is simply incredible, I would highly recommend this series.
I really enjoyed the first 8 episodes, but the remaining two caused a lot of angst :D, I would of liked the story to not of gone in 2 directions, no. 1 Chiaki confessing his love knowing Kanata had already done so and no 2. the whole Kanata, Misaki argument at the end.
Yes Kanata's character is rude at times and obnoxious but that is clearly his shell, yes I would of liked if he was bit softer but nvm, overall great series, amazing film locations, acting by all was amazing.
