Lucky Romance is a fave of mine; admittedly, I can't say I like her on-screen persona. It's not her being weird, I like that. It's her on-screen stupidity I can't stand.

To me Champ is a mentally struggling and unstable individual who can't accept that his close(est) friend just isn't interested in him; a young boy who, growing up, realizes he's into guys and who can't face the truth of his friend not being gay. Deceiving himself into believing that they both would be able to live happily together (as a couple)... IF he transitioned, Champ makes a terrible de-trans-cision.
I don't see how this story of misguided love... I mean, I have no idea how anyone could call it an insult to transsexual people. This movie is not about transsexual people and has nothing to do with them. That being said, I'm gay... I don't rush out and fight the people in charge of my entertainment when they brand gay characters as villains... because I don't agree with the vision.
Really, nobody is vilifying trans people... relax, people.
