I will survive everything as long as they keep the storytelling the same. I will not mind actor changes, just keep the quality. That's all that matters

Title Reset Spoiler
I think the fact that the persons who harassed MengMeng and who leaked the video were never found depicts perfectly…
i do not disagree with you about the way how our justice systems are still incapable of handling sexual abuse. That's why i for example think the reaciton of the university students and the netizens was believable. Instead of supporting the victim they send hate. However what i do not understand is, why there was someone killed and there was no court session, because that is a whole different topic. You cannot make the death of a person go away like that. Someone was at fault here, either the truck driver or the bus driver. And i am very dissappointed how this was handled. The whole story was plotted thouroughly, all the time loops fitted together like smooth butter, but then poof the background story falls apart.
I think it's a really good idea to raise awarness for sexual abuse (especially in SE Asia) but then make it about the sexual abuse, and not the death of a person.
I am trying to come up with an idea of how i would have liked the backstory to be better handled, and i think it would have prefered if a professor would have abused her, driven her mad and then she planned suicide on the bridge for example. That way there would have been no court case, and the parents would have a legit reason to be angry and plotting revenge, because that professor would have been untouchable.

For me it just was disspointing, that it was all so very perfect and then it fell apart. but i can see how that drama for you is still very meaningful and special and i really do not want to take that away from you

The drama is good, but at the end it falls apart for me. There are things i do not understand. Who leaked the cctv footage /bus video of Wang MengMeng so could be posted on the internet, and why did no one think this was an issue? Why did no one get to court when there was a person dying in a car accident? The bus driver should have not let her out, the truck driver would have been judged for murder by negligence. Why did the bus driver never have to sit infront of the parents and explain the situation to them? I get chinese law is different, but civil law should be fairly the same all over the world, would it not?
Also why did MengMeng not get off at the same stop as the girl who filmed? And why could she not wait for the stop after but then went screaming to get off in the middle of the bridge?
And why was the mom hearing these voiced about her daughter being harrassed, although they never found out who it was?
The drama was well build, but how they introduced the case of 5 years back just ruined the great story for me.

Being on the spectrum myself, I was both looking forward to watching it but also worried on how Autism would be…
I know what you mean. The acting of autism felt often times over the top. The autistic people I met in my work context never would drawn so much attention. However for the show i think the point was to make people who watch the show feel uncomfortable with Woo Young Woo, so they had to make her behaviour over the top. If Woos character would have been tuned down, the viewer could not have seen the struggles that arise and also the way to accept and appreciate her behaviour and circumstances. It was also necessary so that the viewer could inspect that feeling of being uncomfortable and asking why you would feel that. I am actually really fed up with korean cliche stereotype of people on the autistic spectrum. If they want to show people with disability struggles its 99% autism, because people on the spectrum seem "adorable" or "genius". But in this drama, they did it right, by also showing other disabilities and also showing that it has struggles and lots of conflicts and why it's so important to be supportive and what kind of support is needed that people on the autistic spectrum can finally feel like they are as valuable as anyone else.
I also think that it was important, since they had a female character stuggeling with autism, to enhance her behaviour. Females on the autistic spectrum often times get ignored, they are just now starting to recognize that in females autism often times is not being detected because it fit so well with the female stereotype. I am not sure if that was the right thing to do, if it would have been better to make it more authentic to have a more feminist viewpoint, but the portrayal was in accordance to what struggles can arise. Either way, i think they thought about this a lot, and they made a lot of right decisions in that regard and so i can be very forgiving of the dramas faults.

Title One Ordinary Day Spoiler
Ok I haven't seen anyone mention this. Or maybe I haven't scrolled down much. But the most peculiar thing about…
I get what you mean, but it doesn't matter, because no one was there. So the police and court will just go off the facts they can actually proof. They called it rape. So they think it was not consensual sex, that she got hurt while they did it and hence there is all the blood, because it was done by force. He can tell he woke up in the living room, but they do not know that, only we do as people who watched the show.

I watched till ep 4 and i do not get this Drama. Do i have to wait more until things connect together? Maybe i cannot relate to the set up, since my countries education system works differently and as someone who works at a school i just have different experiences. I just do not understand how and why these people are fighting each other, because they are all part of a closed community. They are all rich enough to afford their places, they have a secured future for their children. I get the abuse towards the children, but it also doesn't feel relatable to my experiences at all. And it's so weird, that they are so rich, but at the same time they do not have enough money in certain situations. The story telling is also frustrating, they have this cliffhanger at the end of the episode, resolve the cliffhanger within a minute in the next and then build in these "funny moments" which just feel ridicoulous and let the actors seem super flat. So I wonder, why everyone liked it so much? How was it relatable? Why did you feel the acting was so good or what made it so emotional for you?

2 episodes and over 300 people already rated it...........well then.
because there are a lot dramas that go downhill after he first two episodes (or later episodes) They put in a lot of money to get people hooked and then it gets bad. Shouldn't a rating be something that reflects the overall opinion a user has on the drama? if you want to rate the episodes, there is Episode rating.

What the fuck is wrong with the female lead. I don't mind they casted IU she could play whatever the Director…
I know right. I immediatly stopped at the point where i tried to imagine her serving tea (otherwise it will go like: doesn't know how to brew tea, believes just as long as she works hard enough she will be able to do it, doesn't invest any learning, makes countless of stupid mistakes which should seem hilarious, in the end needs to be saved by someone) It makes me so angry. I would be okay with a lot of things, but i hate HATE her being pityful. She could have been cute that's totally alright, if Hae Soo in contrast to Rou Xi shouldn't be fierce, but why do they need to make her pityful. The first three minutes into the first episode and I already wanted to drop it: She loanes money for her boyfriend, and later finds out that he cheated on her, so she is depressed and doesn't want to live anymore, so she gets killed. i mean what is that. And instead of trying to get away from the past, she is happy that she is still alive after 8th prince talks to her? How can one not get angry about this kind of female character? I am not even that pissed off about the 4th prince ("Find the murder of the Crown Prince, than you can stay in the palace" I mean where is the cunning, and scheming 8th prince) Anyway it's horrible. The history knowledge is also a good point. After all it seems like she is actually totally happy to have been thrown back 1000 years, since her life wasn't worth it anyway.
What a messed up thing, just for the sake of showing off eye candy. No one cared what the princes looked like in Scarlet heart, we were just so impressed with the multilayered characters and the intrigues.

What the fuck is wrong with the female lead. I don't mind they casted IU she could play whatever the Director wants her to play, but for christ sake, Rou Xi was an intelligent, strong, career concentrated, free spirited type of person and what do we get, a silly, reckless, unsuccessful, dumb, naive, whiny replacement. Rou Xi dominated that whole drama. Korea what are you doing? Can't you just once go astray from your cliché female stereotype? I know that since it's an adaption it will not be scarlet heart, they need to do somethings differently, but this is not even trying. Rou Xi attracted the guys because she was strong, she didn't want to be restrained by the status of females at that time, she was graceful, educated and had mannerism, that's what made her outstanding. So how is Hae Soo attracting the guys? Pitifulness, naivete, dumbfoundedness? Yeah right, that's super attractive, uhhh this difference to other girls at that time. Then the princes could choose to get an elephant that would probably have the same effect.
And in the end it's gonna be her cheerfulness and good heart that will make it all better *roll's eyes*

Can anyone tell me if this Drama has the same quality as Empress Ki (as in awesome plot twists, logical thinking,…
I am gonna start the Drama today. For a harem story i thought it was pretty well done, i love strong female characters and the scheming was brilliantly done (+ the cinematography) Right now, i imagine six flying dragon more like warrior baek dong soo or the vigilantes in masks from the story line, which would be pretty nice (but i will know more in a few minutes XD) I hope i will make it through the prestory

I heard about jewel in the palace but i really am too scared to start it. I watched Dong Yi and i had a really, really hard time to pull through (espacially since it's older). I know that many people love it, but a lot of people say they watched it back then as children, and i don't think i will have the same feelings like they back then.

that's a really encouraging comment. i am not caring so much for the romance but more for the pacing of the drama (I can't do slow paced historical dramas anymore where nothing happens for 10 episodes and they just do random bullshit which got nothing to do with the actual story, or stereotype characters which annoy me to death but koreans seem to love and therefore need to be in every goddamn drama)

Can anyone tell me if this Drama has the same quality as Empress Ki (as in awesome plot twists, logical thinking, epicness)? I have watched far too much korean historical Dramas and I have a really hard time to endure 50 Episodes of the same standard stuff again and again.

this would have made a much better drama. i loved it but there was so much going on that a 2 hr movie didnt do…
I thought so too, this would have been a badass drama. Something like gentlemans dignity. Maybe they would have screwed up, if they made it a longer drama, so I am not gonna complain. And maybe they will still use this to make a drama out of it

I wonder, am I the only one that thought that this Japanese action\detective drama suddenly turned into a Korean…
you weren't the only one. Through out the Drama i started to think this should have been a korean one. Although i liked the realness of the Drama sometimes it was pretty sloppy (there was a fighting scene were you were totally were able to tell that it was choreographed). I believe if this would have been a K-Drama, it would have been much more intense. K-Dramas are just better at handling these kind of Dramas, i believe. Maybe they will make a remake someday
