I think Seungjin is troubled of doing (1) a confession at that time (they only have a day left) might not be the best timing.

(2) Hwi needs some time to warm up to the idea of new romance (ugh, but moments like Hwi is joking ❓about falling in love with him gave me some hope).

(3) SJ might also be torn if he wants Hwi as a friend or a romantic partner.

Ugh, I hope currently, Hwi has healed from the experience (but as he said himself there were ashes remaining) and has a good relationship with Seungjin.

Wah, I’ve grown attached to this friendship that I just hope they still see each other as friends or lovers. But, IDK, the fact that SJ said on TV that he developed feelings for Hwi might be impossible for their friendship to stay the same. I am not expecting them to be endgame of this show but I hope there will be a chance in the near future.

Basically it is a story revolving about the Queen and her sons. She has 4 royal sons with the King however, the King has many consorts and respective sons as well that are vying for a place in the palace and even can threaten their current status as royalty. It does not help that the King is one of the worst kings I encountered in Kdramaland.
