This is what I just found: hope it is truehttps://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/06/16/king-the-land-release-date-time-cast-and-teaser-of-k-drama-starring-yoona-and-junho/
I have a huge problem with drama writers who show no integrity and just write so that they can get the viewership…
I agree with the bad writing. As much as I like Kim Byung Chul, his acting can't save this character. His character is basically explained with his mother's upbringing and how did it came to this? What's with the mistress being sorry all of a sudden? Because she is sick? I hate when writers make disease as the turning point for this character, like how convenient is that? Also, they are doctors and I don't think it will be the first reaction to the condition of Dr. cha. The scene in the last part is supposed to be funny but kinda insensitive too
So the supposedly serial killer could have been victims of those who look for communists? There's something about the guys from Seoul who took the FL's father that made me think about how it easy to make their victim vanish without any trace . I know there is Korean historical events incorporated here but I really dislike the display of violence here. I think it could have been portrayed in a more subtle way.
Btw, about our FL angst about his father, it is very valid even if she isn't aware about his father's relationship with his father. His wife and his daughter deserves better.
Anyway, the romance tag here kinda make me think that it is more for the main characters' parents. Oh my that preview. His mom...
I am liking this season so far. I really hope we could see a genuine couple in the show without much triangle…
agreed about the panel commentators but it could be also the editor. It is essential which parts are only necessary to include in the show. I find Lee Sangmin overbearing at times.
