The 7.6 is because the serie is bad or because is really hard to find the subtitles ¿?
I wouldn't say it's bad, for me anything over 7.0 is good, over 7.5 is very good and over 8.0 is excellent/master piece.
In my opinion, the current overall rating is quite fair (although I'm rating it a 7.0!), since the story is very straightforward, full of cliches and very fluff. I'd say it's a nice watch if you have free time, but it's nothing special. The downsides and the reasons for which I rated below 7.5 are: a) all voices are dubbed and I HATE when this is done in C-dramas! It's so obvious and it distracts me from the story, and b) the characters lack depth. A story can be simple and light, without addressing very heavy issues, but the characters in it need to feel like "real" people, in order to empathize with them. Well, in this specific C-drama they come across very bland and cartoonish, so I can't really care for them. They're cute and I enjoy the overall story, but the characters are not very well developed, so I'm kind of detached from them and I don't care a lot about what happens (or doesn't) to the characters. However, I need to repeat, that the show is cute and is a good watch!
I'm so glad the comments here pushed me to watch this drama!!! I think this is my favorite C-drama of all times...? (honestly, I don't know, 'cause I don't watch a lot of C-dramas, I'm more a K-drama watcher kinda girl)... I LOVE it! It's full of clichés, but the chemistry between the leads is... out of this world. Only their chemistry compensates all the boring secondary couple scenes and investing/banking storylines that no one cares for... I'm extremely impressed by both Leo Luo and Bai Lu. The way they look at and react to each other, even when they're not the focus in the scene is soooo good. And they nail every single comedic scene. I laughed sfm in Episode 18, I almost ended up crying... They sell this rom com like I've never seen in a C-drama. Hoping that there are no future stupid plot twist (e.g. birth secrets, amnesia, truck of doom, etc.) ruining the dynamic of the main characters, because I could watch 50+ episodes of them hanging out, walk the dog and flirt/fight/make up.
I never watched Terius but I did watch Shopping King Louie and loved the sweetness of Seo In Guk's character.…
I thought the same thing while watching episode 1! When Goo Ra-ra was shopping with her future mother-in-law, I realized she's the female version of Seo In-guk's character! She's very naïve, but it is all due to her upbringing. I'm really looking forward to her character's development, because I enjoyed a lot the growth of Seo In-guk's character in "Shopping King Louie". He definitely matured, but didn't changed into someone completely different. He maintained his sweetness, silliness and candidness. I'm kinda tired of female lead characters in K-dramas having no growth at all or a 180º change in her personalities... so I have high expectations for this writer. She did amazing with Seo In-guk's character and with both leads in "Terius Behind Me" *crosses fingers and knocks on wood*.
OMG! Episode 2 was so good! I was expecting nothing else from the screenwriter of "Shopping King Louie" and "Terius Behind Me". I needed a cute, silly and fluffy drama, so I'm very happy this show finally premiered!! Btw, I really enjoy the chemistry of the leads. They're so cute <3
Am a big fan of writer for Shopping King Louie,Terius Behind meHow does this show compare ?
It has the same vibes as those shows: it's full of fluff and very funny <3. I'd say is more similar to Shopping King Louie due to the upbringing of the female lead character.
I'm so confused with the scenes at the end of each episode they don't seem to match the story. It's like a story…
Yeah, but it's more like different types of scenarios that are not connected between each other. Some people described previously in this comment section that these scenes are like "advice for couples".
He is the (creep and predatory) designer that appeared in episode 2(and 3, I think), who offered Hye-joon to be his sponsor in order to succeed in the industry...
I haven't seen ROY's latest episode yet but when I noticed it was subbed so fast I got so frustrated... It's definitely…
The issue is that "Record of Youth" is also produced by Netflix, so the episodes are subbed extremely quickly. I think Netflix uploads each episode like 3 hours after it is aired in SK. However, "DYLB?" is licensed to Kowoca and Viki, which are slow (especially Viki), so it's harder to quickly access to subbed eps. It's a bummer though! This drama is so much better that "Record of Youth" :(
