I’m assuming you are here for Hyeri given your username. I would say you should watch it if you like shows that are more about a lot of characters interacting than romance shows.
I wanted to watch this drama at first just for the male lead and the humor but it didn't satisfy me on both ,,…
Apart from the part about love..
His change of heart also came from his ideals being born out of a naive faith in the system and it was transformed with a change in outlook. Prohibition is a wrong move on the part of the government. A corrupt one. It has led to dangerous consequences. He has grown and learnt that laws and righteousness are not the same. YSH played this very well.
Yes and no. Lee Pyo is definitely fond of Roseo and expresses interest occasionally but there is no depth to his romantic feelings. It is more of a ‘pretty and bold girl is kinda great’ sort of thing. The first time we see him have an emotional connection with a woman is actually with the SFL. On her party, Roseo is pretty much Nam Young’s without question and genuinely only sees friendship in him.
why do all of her dramas and movies have relatively low ratings? I just want a good romance drama or movie with…
My Punch Drunk Boxer is a nice movie with some cute romance. It looked very cheerful in the posters but the movie was very indie so it was disliked a bit.
Is this like Squid Game? I hope not. Also does anyone know why she calls herself IU? What does it mean?
I have read the Webtoon. It is very different from Squid Game. It is more about the characters and the relationships and there are no real games happening.
Just finished watching The Red Sleeve and I need a new historical drama to watch. Is this worth the watch?
Very different drama but I like both (on ep 7 of TRS)
The Red Sleeve focuses heavily on the character dynamics while here the focus is on the conspiracies and tussles involving the alcohol trade in Hanyang. Plot is quick-paced with lots of pulpy elements like gangs, smugglers, detectives and gisaengs.
I really like the main couple and all of the actors but I will say that I love the plot the most.
Which sageuk did you Finish? Just searching For Something good, but Not Sure what to watch. I wanted to give moonshine…
Moonshine is driven by a fairly complex plot (gangs, smugglers, gisaengs, ministers, illegal brewers and inspectors) that isn’t too political but more along the lines of multiple parties with their own interests in hand.
They sold it as a rom com but I don’t think it really fits the genre. The comedy always takes a step back for more serious plot points while the romance is less “bickering couple” and more “I care about this person even if it is not what I should do”
I am enjoying it, it is interesting to me and I like the lead couple a lot. I would recommend it.
It isn’t all daisies and sunshine - they talk about some heavy stuff and the characters go through a lot of angst. However, there are more than enough light hearted moments to coast you along. It balances humour and cute moments very well with a complex and slightly ambitious plot.
I’m enjoying how complex the plot is. It was marketed as the typical 4 leads story but is in fact an ambitious and intricate story that I enjoy immensely. I’m enjoying Hyeri’s acting here too, she has been killing the subtle scenes. Yoo Seung Ho is amazing as always.

My Roommate is a Gumiho is great as a rom com.
