Very light hearted. Conflicts are handled swiftly on most part and are often a source of humour. The drama essentially does not know how to be serious and I swear that I was laughing out loud half the time.
I have a small hope that this drama utilises Hyeri knowing how to play the Janggu (a traditional drum used for Pansori [traditional theatre] performances)(learnt it for Pansori Boxer) and her being a decent to good archer. She already has a Saeguk skill set 😂

Like I said, I agree she has had a lot of misses but those misses were largely in roles that were done before she found her footing. I just don’t want people to not even give the drama a shot when they see her name - not when there is a big difference in her work now and from all of the works people hate her for.

Mostly because all of her script choices pretty much sucked post Reply 1988 and pre 2019, largely due to her having little power to choose in her old agency but that’s another issue. I don’t think she is the most excellent actress and she definitely suits a few genres more than others but when in a project she chose herself - anything from 2019 - she has consistently been doing solid work - being particularly excellent in comedic roles and romance. Better than most.
As for why it is considered hate - well, I think that her fans (myself sort of included) have seen all of the odds she already has stacked against her - gossip about her personal life, comments on her appearance, unconventional career choices - that when there is criticism without justification then well.
