I rarely rate dramas 10 points, but this drama had it all! Excellent directing, plot, characters, costumes, battle scenes, and, of course, great actors! The main couple was simply great... I loved all the 1st and 2nd cast members... Zu Er and actor Yu Ning had such wonderful chemistry, and their relationship, from anger and hatred due to their feuding families, to their gradual falling in love, was simply beautifully portrayed... This pair of actors stole my heart immediately, their chemistry was immediately visible... even if at first their characters were a bit distant, they still had some respect for each other... and then those great scenes of relationship and FL's wisdom, who gradually tamed the menacing and distant general ML, and some of her funny scenes, especially when she got drunk and chased a fan with ML chasing her, were so well done that I laughed and my heart was delighted with their relationship... Most importantly, FL's character was intelligent, but really well-written... she wasn't a capricious, silly, and screaming girl like you usually see in costume dramas, but smart, wise, and most importantly, emotionally mature... she was an expert in various matters and was also able to stand her ground when necessary, but not in a stupid way and with feminist slogans, as is the case in these dramas lately, but in the same way as a woman who is the "neck" of her husband and wisely turns his head. I like these kinds of female characters the most... not the sulky, screaming ones, trying to forcefully shout slogans of women's freedom, etc. This FL character was well-thought-out, and I loved her very much. ML's character is also amazing... at first, the general is furious with the past of both families, eager to take revenge for the wrongs done to his family, but in the meantime, he sees his wife as a wise and intelligent woman who isn't naive, but is also a strong and decisive woman who can defend herself with calm arguments and the truth against his anger... this strong general who, in front of his wife, is at one point helpless as a child... I love these scenes the most, how FL can disarm ML with a single word, gesture, or smile... I won't say anything more, because it simply has to be seen and felt. Bravo to the entire team for a wonderful drama and giving us the pleasure of watching such a beautiful story!!! I wish there were more like it!!
