The novel hasn't released yet
Oh! Looks like I got it confused with a different novel similarly named Luoyang. Thanks for replying!

Felt the need to come and say...ran xiwei is wearing a burlap sack to the wedding in ep 4. I mean this quite literally. That is all.

Just chiming in to say that I still get a little teary every now and then when I think of the ending, and I've even been known to watch the ending alone when I'm looking for a little bit of peace. Agree with everything you wrote in your review!

I started watching this, but the first episode seems verrrrrrry transphobic. Have I misunderstood something or…
I also found that scene to be transphobic and generally uncomfortable. And some missed opportunities to explore some gender nuances. Not really what this is about tho, the romance

Title The Story of Ming Lan Spoiler
It's only on my second watch of what I now confirm is my favorite drama ever that I realized that the ending credits…
The second to last scene in the credits is the last scene from the drama, where ming lan and ting ye are standing outside of the rebuilt gu ancestor hall. Does anyone know what the the last scene in the credits is? It looks like a person walking with a cow? Not sure I can tell what it is or what it means.

I just can't hate WY.. honestly, if you're told your whole family and the person you love and want to marry will…
Couldn't agree more. They did my mans WY wrong. I wonder if they are intentionally trying to make him seem more tragic by showing both the real effort he put in to getting out/away from the marriage and him getting hate from QH's pple. It's like painting him as an upstanding guy while also positioning him as a villain--bit of a contradiction. The drama world does its thing. He didn't deserve the slap or the beatdown tho.

Ah, makes sense. It's wild how an endorsement can put a character in coats for an entire drama beyond any logic. Anyways, thank you for sharing that!

The scene that really did me in was when he was fixing the plumbing in the overcoat, had a good cackle at that one. An endorsement deal seems to make the most sense, but I havent seen them try to make a big deal out of the coat brand(s) or anything. Seems like such a weird styling choice.

idk, but he still looks good. ;)
That's what's weird to me. It's only yuan shuai that's constantly in the overcoat in the actual drama, so does everyone else just handle the cold better than him? Lol

Stylist, I guess. And they sleeping in sweater too. :)
Youre prob right. Not sure why it sticks out to me so much but seems like such a weird style choice
