I have to say, after all the BL partners Bas has worked with or dealt with, Max is definitely my favorite for…
I couldn"t agree more. Bas was really held back by his previous on-screen partners, but with Maxky he's had a partner who shares his talent and commitment - and look at the results! For me, I think it's the best work he's ever done.
It seems people are really coming down on Cir, when I see a lot more nuance to the character - at least from what's been shown so far. He appears to have had almost no social life throughout middle school, high school and most of college, except for Wim. He chances upon Phu, (who's just adorable btw), becomes smitten, becomes obsessed, and starts an elaborate fantasy that revolves around Phu being his loving bf. Then he gets hit by a car and suffers from a concussion; the ugly, lonely reality gets jumbled with the loving fantasy, so that when he wakes up he desperately seeks Phu in hopes of finding out the truth. His brain eventually clears up enough to realize that there is no relationship with Phu, but his post-car accident confusion had finally enabled him to break the ice and actually meet and interact with Phu. And Phu turns out to be as kind and warm as what Cir always fantasized Phu to be - and sparks were beginning fly. Now Cir wants to explain himself to Phu, but is afraid it will mess up this one chance of finding happiness.
So, I wanted to share a theory that I've been thinking about since I saw the final trailers and that for me is…
I think that's an excellent theory! And I agree, I don't think Cir is lying to Phu when he talks about their beautiful life together - he's been shaken up from the accident and is just confusing a fantasy world that he loves as being reality.
Another Taiwanese BL masterpiece. What I liked- the ML'S chemistry, the storyline, the OST and their messages…
The interaction between the Dr. Lin and the gangster boss was certainly intriguing, but I can't forget/forgive Le Ge's little game of russian roulette with Qian and Yuan. I think the last thing the jaded doctor needs is to start up with a genuine mob psycho.
Just want to thank the filmmakers for trusting their audience enough not to turn Wei Qian's migraines/nose bleeds into an end-of-the-season, all encompassing, life-or-death brain ailment that would've dominated the last few episodes and turned this wonderful BL into a melodramatic soap opera at the end with the obligatory hospital bed scenes, teary speeches, and will he or won't he survive the operation angst. Instead, the issue was used to highlight Wei Qian's fears and lasting scars due to his mother's abusive behavior when he was a child. But the point was him recognizing these fears, and learning how to deal with them, opening up to his loved ones and sharing the burden instead of shutting them out and going it alone - that this is really what love and family is all about. Thus, we didn't even see the surgery, just realized that it must've gone well since we see Wei Qian looking fine and dandy after some time has passed (after all, Li Li's baby had been born).
I just really enjoyed this series, from start to finish, and feel like they really stuck the landing!
(I could have done without the whole top/bottom, tiger/lamb crap, but oh well, you can't have everything...)
Can we even be sure that Danjai is Khun's son? O is a common blood type. Who's to say whether Phakkad was cheating on Khun's brother or not? Maybe multiple affairs - heck, maybe she was sleeping with Vit and he's the real father of Danjai.
I know it's a light, fun BL, and the handsome general manager consistently invading the adorable secretary's space is comedic and cute - but I can't help but wonder how different the series would be if the manager was not so sexy and looked like, say, a young Harvey Weinstein instead. Suddenly this lighthearted romp becomes a tension-filled harassment drama. It's just interesting how a person's looks effect whether something is perceived as 'fun and flirty' or 'inappropriate and creepy'.
Yes, seems like she pays him for his "attention" and he wants more $
With both the director and the agent as clients, not to mention the side job where he attempted to murder someone, I'd say he's earned a raise...after all, he'll need it to pay for a lawyer.
Their birthday wu bi is 1 and su yu is 10, in chinese pop gay culture, 1=top, 1+0= versatile 😜
Oh wait, didn't Su Yu find out that Wu Bi's birthday is not the 1st and that Su Yu is actually the older brother? (I still love your 1-10 analysis though, so maybe Wu Bi's birthday is 7/1 instead of 6/1, lol.)
anyone else notice the ''Philadelphia'' poster on wu bi's wardrobe when he found the little boy in his room ?…
I didn't catch the "Philadelphia" and "Blue" posters, but saw "Torchsong". Certainly in total, it seems like it's a rather significant choice of decor for the two young men.
They can say it's just a "bromance" all they want, but I think it's interesting that there's a Torchsong Trilogy poster on the wall in Wu Bi and Su Yu's bedroom...
I wonder if just telling Mint Dew`s gay, and "he`s just not that into you." will end the problem lol ..Seriously…
Actually, I think you're right - if Dew just confronted Mint and came out, it would clear a lot of this mess up. No need to wait and explain it tomorrow, just say "I'm gay". Obviously, he never should have dated her in the first place, but he can explain that he was confused and grasping at straws trying to fight the truth about himself. He now sees that he's only hurting her and needs to accept the fact that he's gay so they both can go on with their lives. And while she'll be understandably hurt and disappointed, I don't think she'll be utterly wrecked like she was when she thought he was cheating and ghosting her.
Needless to say, it's probably not the best time for Dew to tell her that he's been having an affair with her brother from a parallel dimension...
If Syn gets ordained, wouldn't there be an expectation of celibacy? I've read of some Buddhist monks in Japan who don't require celibacy, but celibacy appears to be the norm for Buddhist monks, and obviously Syn is in Thailand, not Japan. It seems odd that it hasn't been a topic of conversation between Syn and Nuer. Or is it just a given that once Syn is ordained, he will no longer be in a relationship with Nuer, so nothing to discuss?
I'm no expert on Buddhism, so let me know if I'm way off base on this.
The last two episodes were just so painfully stupid... "I think that instead of telling the person I love that he needs to leave because he's in danger, instead I'll pretend I don't know him the morning after we made love for the first time - that's a grand idea!" "Oh, hey, I've got a heart condition, but I'm gonna trudge through the wilderness to get home - even though home is over 400 miles away." "Gee, it's better for my brother to suffer thinking that I'm dead for 3 months even though we're both hiding out for our lives on the same property."
I'm not faulting the actors, the story/script was just such a mess, although if I see one more tear from Sun I'm gonna go mental.
At the end of ep3, am I understanding it correctly that In had an (possible) affair with Wang’s dad?
That was my impression too. And while he says that they were both sorry that it happened, it doesn't feel like it was just a fling - at least for In, it seems like he had very strong feelings for Wang's dad. In said he hadn't cried for years, and I'm guessing that the last time was when Wang's father died.
