Why us, fellow campers and TTEOM residents here love Till The End Of The Moon so much?
For me, personally, I have a weakness for anti-hero and villain storylines. It just hits different. When a supposed to be evil character were given choices in life and chances to choose between the path of good and evil. It is great to see the character development, that it is not always the best choice to be the hero but it is better albeit being the harder choice to simply being a good person... which ultimately in the end will save the world. And this is Tantai Jin. Him who was born with an evil bone and destined to be the Devil God no matter what. Him who had been dealt with the hard life and chose to be the better person in the end.
It is perfectly complemented by the equally morally gray Li Susu who provided the ill fated romantic entanglement and arguably pushed Tantai Jin to make the hard decisions he had to make each step of the way. She had a mission and she had to finish it regardless of her feelings, which most of us felt unfair and uncalled for. It is apparent, while many would argue that Li Susu herself led Tantai Jin to be the Devil God, it is fate, it is Tantai Jinβs destiny to be the Devil God.
For the new watchers around here, it may not be the fairytale ending one is hoping for, but watch it with and open mind and appreciation. I started to watch this while I was in my hotel in Tokyo, 5 hours later I almost missed my flight back to Brisbane. The first episode is phenomenal and gripping. I have yet to see another Xianxia who will grab you with the same intensity as in the first episode.
The plot is complex, the production is in another level and Luo Yunxi breathed Tantai Jin life, it is in a whole new level.
Hence I ask you, why do you love TTEOM? Let us know. π
