Thats another possibility. NH could have used NF’s body when crossed from the “portal”. Same as SXY used SYM body in the dream and vice versa. What bugs me is, how does he know when to appear from the portal? Also remember in the ancient times when SYM said that lightning will strike her if she likes NF, and the sky rumbled and lightning was about to strike 😆⚡️

While the “script reading” modern scene in Episode 1 with Male Screenwriter is fictional, there must be a real script reading that occurred with the Female Screenwriter in the real world. And I’d like to think that in the real world, Nan Feng from Episode 1 is already Nan Heng (sunglasses, bead playing etc) but chose not reveal himself until he confirmed that Song Xiao You remembers him after she woke up from the dream in the real world, which she did in Episode 40, when she approached him and took off his sunglasses. Then he finally showed himself and reunited in the real world.
