OGs of BL

It’s genuinely refreshing to see Krist and Singto reunited on screen, this time portraying more grounded and mature characters. Their evolution as actors shines through—they bring nuance and emotional weight to their roles, showing just how far they’ve come since their early days. The series kicked off strong, brimming with potential. Its opening episodes had a compelling premise and hinted at deeper emotional and narrative layers. However, somewhere along the journey, the momentum waned. The storylines became repetitive, with pacing that often felt sluggish. Key developments were either drawn out unnecessarily or lacked the punch to keep the audience fully engaged. Thankfully, Krist and Singto—seasoned veterans—were the glue that held everything together. Their natural chemistry and solid performances elevated even the weaker scenes, making you root for their characters despite the script’s shortcomings. Their on-screen rapport was heartfelt and familiar, offering fans a nostalgic but matured dynamic. That said, the series could’ve soared higher if the storytelling had lived up to the caliber of its leads. With more cohesive plot development and tighter writing, this could have been a standout drama rather than one that simply coasts on star power. A 3.5 out of 5 stars for me.
