On Be Loved in House: I Do Feb 20, 2022
wasted potential especially with how much they for some fuckin reason focused on the second couple in favor of actually developing the main one, to the point where it had no room left to breathe and ended in a conclusion i didn't find as satisfying as it could've been.. but it had me giggling n kicking my feet n shi ngl lol

Title One Summer Night Spoiler
In my interpretation the characters of Jae Sung and Tae Kyu symbolise North and South Korea. Much like the love…
i might revise it after a while, it's just the initial rating. the ending soured my opinion because to me personally it felt a lil like a cop out. can't deny the irony of yongjoon dying like that after fighting to survive for so long though
i don't mind the production, it's got that indie movie vibe down. gotta be honest i just found it a bit boring at times. the pacing wasn't doing it for me. caught myself sitting there waiting to find out characters' motivations in mild annoyance rather than aniticipation a few times; it's just one of those things that i totally get what it was trying to do but the storytelling wasn't on quite the same level as the idea behind the script
that being said, i do appreciate the commentary this movie offers and how unique it is. the attention to detail too! it's depressing but real and refreshing after having watched so many saccharine kbls with little to no substance (personally would've loved something in the middle)

you seem to be the only person here and over on letterboxd that actually understood what this movie was trying to tell lol

watched one half of it drunk, the other sober. let's just say i enjoyed it when i was drunk more lol
otherwise cute and harmless, acted fairly well considering the cast's limited experience... can't say there was any noticeable chemistry but it was believable, so i guess that's good enough. if you start to pick at it you can tell it suffers from its poor written script, but i wonder if the actors would've handled it were it more demanding. caught myself wondering why the main character was lounging around instead of trying to find a way out for most of the show until the script called for it, but i might've just missed it out of drunkness. 100% convinced this ended in poly
also i don't stan ace but i find it really funny how the last thing junhee did before his enlistment was act in a bl drama like yes queen

Title Given
if you want the best given experience just watch the anime, but man mafuyu's song and that kiss were so good

Title Ossan's Love
exceeded my expectations because i didn't expect much. turned out to be really funny and touching, but god damn the last episode was disappointing and unnecessarily dramatic in a bad way lol
big props to yoshida kotaro and tanaka kei for their acting
