Carry over from all those mangas? Almost omnipresent. At least I haven't seen the ridiculously exaggerated ones or the parodies. Yet???? I have wondered about the origin. Or if it's even cultural? An alternate to depictions of salivating or drooling. Other cultures?

Loving this. If possible, you might want to watch this Wang Pei Yan version (V4 5/15/2025) after the Wu Hao version (V1 3/9/2025). The Wang Pei Yan version is just more flamboyant, "extra", and energetic enough that the Wu Hao version seems slightly subdued in comparison. But both, IMO, are the best in this collection. Neither lacks truly comedic moments. And the stories are told with differences that keep you from spacing out. I'd give either a solid 10.

Her performance in The Princess's Counterattack was, almost literally, stunning. Caught me totally off guard. It seemed like just when I was marvelling at her absolute command of comedy skills, she'd seamlessly switch gears and manage to impress with other levels and layers. At this point, even if it's as Support, if she's in it, I'm gonna check it out! I'd be surprised if there are any Main roles she can't carry.
