his acting as chenzhou was fine, but that character didn't require much + its something he is pro at. I mean, its basically the character he played much better in stand by me. for the other two, terrible work. and I say terrible because the expectations for his acting are always high. as for the fight scenes, the actors did a good job, but the director didn't. the build up were terrible and the final cut too. tho I must also say that I'm a little numb for old-fashioned fight scenes now because I still have the phenomenal scenes presented in the immortal ascension in my mind, so the fight scenes I've watched since are not doing it to me.
ok, finished. from beginning to end, very flat story, with a few engaging scenes and episodes. the production is a joke. last time I saw an s drama with this level of shitty production was who rules the world, but they had the excuse of the producer and director fighting (very funny story if you want to look it up hehe) everything looks cheap here - hair, makeup, costume, directing, cinematography. even ost is forgettable. so many characters are so annoying and they lack depth. this is the worst cheng yi acting I've seen. not only body language, facial expression and feeling, but his voice acting was specially bad and often took me off. the build up for the ending was terrible and the ending itself was anticlimactic and specially annoying with all the deaths. can't think of anything I liked in this drama. it makes it even more disappointing that it had a high budget. very averaged and underwhelming.
