Im only on ep 12, but my theory on the ancestor thing is that they have been “cut off” from that side of family because she is indeed her own “ancestor”. And that “that side of family” is not their family at all, but they have been playing that part so FL and her family can go into the past (so history repeats itself but more in the it always happened way) Maybe the ML traveled in time also (but into the future) & i think he left the mansion to his “brother” (the servant) who lived as him in the past or smt. And that grandpa might be descendant of the brother/friend (whatever we want to call him). Just my theory for now so i wont forget it xd im curious to see what the truth will be
Same here. I actually was bothered by the last 8 episodes with how they dragged a cooking competition into 4 episodes…
Tbh i loved the cooking parts, but i do also think that they really prolonged it too much . I hate open “endings” (unresolved things) so i wouldnt mind a bit more on that. Overall tho im glad we didnt get second Scarlet Heart Ryeo ending hah

For me it all happened too quick ( if they made it a 16 ep drama it would be top). Its not about what happened there(mostly) but the pacing was all wrong to me. I just couldn’t get into it tbh, it all seemed very rushed. I am glad we got HEA ofc but i wouldn’t mind getting more answers to unresolved questions :/ how, when, what, his life after… i still gave it 9,5 because i do love this drama, but i feel if they gave us 4 episodes of cooking competition, they could give us more to all the revolt plot (cause it really felt as a passing thought) but i do acknowledge that it wouldn't really have the romcom vibes from before if they did that. So i get that (even if im dissatisfied with some of the peoples ends), but if they really wanted to just make it some smaller plotpoint, we could get more scenes of them in modern world. Thats what i meant with “kinda disappointed”, i didnt hate them

Gao Tu and Wen Lang remind me of that one manhwa with this exact situation going on, i cant remember name tho. Im not a fan of them yet just as i was not fan of the couple in the manhwa but i hope it will change.
