this is my first ghost law/crime drama and I'm really impressed even with only 2 cases solved. the pacing was a good balance between show and tell when portraying the lead characters. and the side characters and subplot are intriguing and interwoven into the lead's story well so far

and the comedy and heartwarming aspects were impactful without making me feel embarrassed lol + the pacing didn't drag while giving enough time to everyone.

I'm very curious about the wi hajun look alike, he seems to be a pitiful antagonist

we all know PSH was great in this series, but seriously all the other actors were amazing too. I really liked seeing lee deok hwa play a bad guy when I'm so used to his sweet old man roles. all 4 female lead characters were balanced and used perfectly. and so bang cha hit the beats very well too. so many characters, but they all were welcomed whenever it was their screentime. you know when there's a useless side character that shows up too much. not here!

Keum Bo’s boss continues to be such a hoot. Loved him pretending to be a shoe shiner. His undercover personas…
I really really wish KB's dad talked it over with his daughter who is a money expert but I guess not because they don't want to rely on their kids for help

there's no way she can end up with someone romantically, let's think about some other 1997/1998 kdramas we know about... you thought the amensia truck was kdrama's biggest enemy, the imf crisis is the real one to look out for. it's affected at least 3 generations of koreans. albert is too young for her and the president is too unethical for her

I'm really liking the strangers to friends before lovers dynamic between the leads!! but yeah, rn the written characters def have more chemistry than the actors on screen

the first 6 eps kind of felt like legend of the blue sea if it was made in 2024, like faster paced but this strong feeling of inevitable fate between the leads. they also have a lot of casual moments where they click together as ppl on top of their conflict moments. I like the chicken feeding scene. the characters are really fun but still have this "normal" quality about them that is refreshing and relatable and grounded

also the arrogant male lead tag was what made me uninterested in the drama (and lomon in branding in seongsu but that's not his fault) but I don't think the ML is the arrogant im-better-than-you type, just self loving. I feel like the first ep made his character traits confusing to me as a viewer

I love it when characters have a crush on the FL but albert just doesn't match hong geum bo for me. maybe in the next episodes he'll warm up to me tho. but a third male lead option wouldn't be a bad idea

There were two minor production details that broke my suspension of disbelief with the 97 setting: A t-shirt that…
I'm with you! I wish they put in a little more effort in making the props accurate to the time like hiring a late 90s expert maybe but I guess they spent time and energy on other parts of the dramas. surely an old school mouse with the ball wouldn't be hard to find from someone's grandparents but maybe they forgot mice with red lights wouldn't have existed

I have to say the editing style for this drama is really fun! I like the visual style they went with when it was showing flashbacks of the FL's past with her ex lover. it's like a corny old kdrama becuase it kind of was lol. at first I was leaning towards her ex as the ML that I want to "win" bc I love ex lovers getting back together, but after the reveal I'm over him. I'm not rly into albert either tho

also, I was hoping this series was a female friendship group type of story because of the opening animation and now it's really starting to feel like that! and FL's 20 year old look and haircut and kind of growing on me now. I thought PSH looked cute in Seon Jae's dad's imagination

wait wdym by psh has let herself go?
oh yes! that's what I thought but I wanted to double check. so far I'm liking the way the FL is written too. silly and ambitious at the same time
On Undercover Miss Hong Jan 21, 2026
I'm glad the drama is being self aware of the fact that psh does not look like a 20 year old. PSH is beautiful but more mature looking than youthful. I'm wondering what other characters are lying about their age and identity too

1st ep had so much business talk and name intros that I don't think are important to remember but ep 2 picked up!

PSH is cracking me up in this role lol. She has let herself go 😂 Also I can't get myself to dislike Bokhui…

there are better cliche kdramas out there like Legend of the Blue Sea but this one was fine. Back in my day, the cliche kdramas were 16-20 eps long and the amensia plot was a drag but it had impact. My lasting gripe with Dynamite Kiss is that they pushed all that in the last eps onto the viewers then closed it's doors. I don't want more, but better closure would have been nice. I guess it's good that we can assume that the younger sister will get to see her fam and have some more support in her life. I started Dynamite Kiss because these comments said that it reminded of old kdramas and I think the last eps did continue to prove that, just all in 14 eps instead

Idk about great scripts but I've watched quite a few romcoms that had good storylineGood manager Lovestruck in…
don't forget Legend of the Blue Sea! tbh I think it's the gold standard for cliche done well. Actually, maybe since it's an earlier drama it's wasn't THAT cliche. but it checks all the boxes: rich ML, FL strapped for cash, leads met under fate-like and unsual circumstances, time skip, amnesia iirc, running from gangsters, near death accidents, betrayal, sick mothers and chaebols I think. It has all the cliches but doesn't forget to put it's own flair on them
On Head over Heels Sep 2, 2025
I enjoyed it a lot! but I didn't like how sudden the next high stakes life threatening events would abruptly happen, barely any transition and making me confused about how we got to this scenario. I think that's because how there were only 12 eps in total. Judging by the comments tho, if it was a 16 ep drama for example ppl would have gotten bored. The characters and feelings were all there but the short and fast run time made it hard to fully connect which is a shame. The tragic stories were pushed and pulled back and forth, I feel like it was unfair in a way but maybe the webtoon goes into more detail.
