This series is better than an 8.2…I check MDL every day but guess it’s just me who is totally in love with this story and the little characters. The pacing is so steady! Each minor character especially in the demon valley are so great! I LOVED the Treasure Swallower! I love the lead’s relationship. I hope the show ends happy… but otherwise, I can’t believe there are only 10 episodes left. 😭
I love tropes. But also, this has so far been such a delight to me. When I was a kid, I LOVED this kind of story line. It’s that fantasy that is even more fantasy with the minor demons characatures and the little creatures. The world building is beautiful, and the rich color contrasts really appeal to me (I’m a photographer- haha!)
The score (I’m also a music nerd!) is wonderful, complimenting darker/more intense scenes with the perfect tone. I’m fairly new to cdrama and have watched under 15 shows… but the score immediately jumped out to me as beautifully arranged and planned out.
I foresee a darker Hong Ye in tomorrow’s batch of episodes; however, the beginning characteristics remind me of how misguided and judgemental others can be with preconceived notions on people. The humans assume the worst and many of the demons do, as well… all rooted in a place of fear. Because Hong Ye has seen both the good and bad of both, he has a quiet and more gentle, observational approach but also protecting his world.
I want to watch this but Mango is awful for the subtitles! anywhere else possibly it can be watched? I waited…

I honestly enjoyed this show so much. I thought it moved well and the pacing was nice. I wish this part had been the end of the show rather then a tacked on special… that I had to watch on YouTube. 😅😭 This would have been the perfect spot instead of the bouquet toss. I don’t know why they did that. I still loved it!
I’m only on episode 21 and by 20 I was like WHOA WHOA. I wasn’t expecting the kissing in this one, and I LOVE these two together. I understand now how they got cast in Till the End of the Moon. Their chemistry is so good. 🥰
