I don't know (if you know that) but we even use cannabis extracts (marijuana) for cancer patients! - any drug could be useful at the right level & any common drug could be dangerous if the dose is wrong!

A pharmacist knows the dangers of the drug more than the physician (because we prepare the thing!) I didn't say I know everything! but I know that we "doctors specially or healthcare team" should be the last to judge a patient...unlike the rest of the society we understand the levels of pain the patient passes through!!!!!!
again she didn't use the drug on her own! it's her doctor who prescribed it - so she shouldn't be classified as a heartless addict who put her baby at risk to get high! (specially that the drug in itself isn't even dangerous for the baby)

As a pharmacist to be I know that not every drug cause problem to pregnant women -_- ! studies on propofol showed that it's no harm to pregnant women! plus how do you know she used it while being pregnant...the case was dragged for months...long before she gave birth!...She took it because she had "avascular necrosis at the head of her femur" which is extremely painful and her doctor testified that he was the one to give her those prescriptions because it was the only way to stop her pain...she was even went to the hospital limping because of her back pain!
Also, I wonder what effect if any the drug had on Park Si Yeon's child? Hopefully nothing...
I doubt she used it while being pregnant...the case was dragged for months & she couldn't by any mean use it during that time! plus studies on propofol doesn't show any problems for pregnant women (at least till now!)

What else was she supposed to do?!!!!!!!! Due to pain we sometimes give patients Morphine derivatives...they'll sure get addicted but they can't live with the pain! plus they are making her go to prison because she found a way not to suffer?! if they're so worried about her addiction they should've sent her to rehab!
