so i guess i pre-judged the main lead's husband??...like what the hell is the story with her marriage?? i…
He made her dump her dream...he doesn't tell ppl he is married & apparently he is corrupt...
I guess he truly cares for her and loves her but he is a little "too" selfish.
If you are wondering why OCN is airing this cringy drama...
This isn't an OCN produced show...OCN dramas are airing on their regular slot on Sat/Sun
This is a Pre-produced rom/com from 1% of Anything team...it was fully filmed before being sold & OCN picked it to fill in an empty Mon/Tue slot under "OCN Pick" title..meaning they are simply experimenting on an empty slot..like what their sister channel tvN did with Cinderella & the Four Knights.
So Se Ju and Jeon Seul are re-incarnation of 30s characters...the mystery ghostwriter was their friend too they had a love triangle but a tragedy happened (my guess Se Ju and Jeon Seul died) they both re-incarnated but their friend (Go Gyeong Pyo ) remained as the typewriter ghost - it could be because he witnessed the tragedy or because he had some guilt feelings but he is living in the typewriter and retelling his friends story...the same that Se Ju and Jeon Seol dream about in their visions from past life...
The more the written novel progresses...the more we will find about the past story.
I stopped following the story in the middle of 2 episode. Lee Bo Young its not for me - I find her a very expression…
I'm the opposite...I prefer LBY acting to LSY...his sad pathetic expression all the time almost made me drop the drama...glad it finally changed in ep4
how is the romance ?..is it subtle..? or the story revolves around it?
Yes there is...but it's not the main theme...and mostly between the "evil" 2nd leads..
The story seems like a typical revenge in the beginning but as it unfolds it becomes very unique...at the beginning the female lead's father is framed with murder...she goes to the male lead for help and he promises to help her but ends up betraying her...so she sets up to prove her dad innocence...and blackmails the male lead to help her...and they team together...then you meet the 2nd leads & get to know who is the real murderer & why...no one is completely bad & no one is completely good either...everyone is flawed and pathetic in their own way so you kinda end up feeling bad for everyone.
Very sad!!! Their crimes were literally to protect each other...the one who originally stabbed the reporter was the gangster...scared that Su Yeon will be in trouble...Jung Il killed him...so Su Yeon made her dad frame Young Ju father...and hence, the vicious cycle..
If only her father accepted her feelings and Jung Il as son-in law...she wouldn't have had to work in Taebak and lose the info...and nothing would have happened :/
Even though Jung Il and Soo Yeon are bad, I still like them, even more than the lead characters.
Same they are actually even more pitiful...superficially they have it all...but their parents past ruined them and they ended up criminals just to protect each other..as expected from the writer they might be evil to the world but they sincerely love each other..
I guess he truly cares for her and loves her but he is a little "too" selfish.
