This drama had so much potential, but it was badly written from the very beginning...
For the first 30 episodes, they didn't do much, at all. ML was stupid, stubborn, and naive back then, and it is still the same... I do understand this is supposed a "hero" story vs evil, revenge, etc... But damn?
With only 34 episodes (super short for this type of show) you choose to go around in circles for 30 episodes?
The cast was amazing, all actors were pretty good, but the writers... I would've given a 10, and it could've been one of the best C-Dramas of all time had they chosen a better team of writers + ordered at least 20 more episodes.
P.S. These are the same writers who also wrote "Legend of Awakening", who suffers from the same problem
China's release schedule is one of the worst I've ever seen, honestly... I know it has to do with all the license and stuff like that, but damn, it can be frustrating as hell lol
What a damn joke to us, the fans... Really, and the sad part is, it's not just this or another show, it has been like this for years now, what are they waiting for, really? I am very curious to know the reason behind their "decision" to not air this show, I mean... Frustrating to say the least!
It's almost 11 AM and still nothing lmao, why does it always take so much time to watch the new episodes??? Makes no sense, and it's so damn frustrating!
And... That's why you can't just launch 16 episodes show and wait for the best.
The last episode was a bit unnecessary, really... You should have announced a second season (with shorter episodes) or at the very least, a few more episodes to wrap things up.
It's really frustrating, but I still don't understand why producers and tv networks don't like to launch more seasons, it doesn't make sense to me, this is/was a HIT!
Also, we, the fans, need to watch Song Joong Ki w/ Park Ji Hyun in the first half of 2023 - like, for real... Too much chemistry between those two EXCELLENT actors. Someone, wake the f up, and do it! It doesn't even matter what type of show you write, just cast them together as the main leads.
Man, I'm only going to say this once: The leads absolutely nailed it!
They deserve to star (together) in a new show, as soon as possible. In fact, make it go live in no less than 6 months, please - we, the fans, deserve it!
It doesn't even matter the type of the show, just cast those two, work with a great screenwriter, and that's it, that's your recipe for SUCCESS.
The show is really, really good! Mainly because of Song Joong Ki, but... The story is very well written, and I am loving every second of it! The second episode was definitely a lot better than the first one, so I can only imagine it will get better and better, only sad because we probably won't get to see the young actor anymore, he was great!
So, to you, perfection means being rich, famous and popular? Got it.
To be honest, I feel like it's just a title, in fact, it may just be the "perfect" title for a show/drama, it's catchy and generates curiosity, at least for me!
